  • Patent number: 11277347
Abstract: Inference server and computing device for inferring an optimal wireless data transfer rate. The computing device determines parameters of a data transfer through a wireless communication interface of the computing device, and transmits the parameters of the data transfer to the inference server. The inference server receives the parameters of the data transfer, executes a neural network inference engine using a predictive model (generated by a neural network training engine) for inferring an optimal data transfer rate based on the parameters of the data transfer, and transmits the optimal data transfer rate to the computing device. The computing device receives the optimal data transfer rate, and configures its wireless communication interface to operate at the optimal data transfer rate. For example, the computing device consists of an environment control device (e.g. an environment controller, a sensor, a controlled appliance, and a relay).

  • Patent number: 11277892
Abstract: A system for obtaining a multispectral image of a scene includes a first light source, a second light source, at least one imaging sensor, and a controller. The first light source emits light in a first wavelength range. The second light source emits light in a second wavelength range. The at least one imaging sensor senses light in the first wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a first illumination sensing period and senses light in the second wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a second illumination sensing period. The controller is electrically coupled to the at least one imaging sensor. The controller interprets signals received from the at least one imaging sensor as imaging data, stores the imaging data, and analyzes the imaging data with regard to multiple dimensions. The first illumination sensing period and the second illumination sensing period are discrete time periods.

  • Patent number: 11258223
Abstract: An automated wire feeder assembly to first repetitively receive a wire from a gripper of an automated processing tool and then load the wire into a hollow conduit coupled to the gripper of the automated tool. The wire feeder assembly includes belts that pivot between open and closed positions and each belt rotate to advance a wire into the conduit attached to the gripper of the automated tool. When the belts are in the open position the gripper of the automated tool places a free end of the wire into a wire guide. Pivoting the belts to the closed position engages the belts with the free end of the wire. Once the belt is engaged with the free end of the wire, rotating the belts advances the wire out of the wire feeder and into the gripper conduit.

  • Patent number: 11246796
Abstract: Techniques and devices for extending a piston, for example connected to a medical device such as a mechanical CPR device, to accommodate different sized patients, are described herein. In some cases, a piston of a mechanical CPR device may include an inner piston at least partially slidable into an external piston sleeve. In one aspect, an external piston spacer may be attached to an outward surface of the inner piston to extend the length of the piston. In another aspect an internal bayonet sleeve may contact one or more locking rods at various positions, enabling adjustment of the length of the inner piston. In yet another aspect, a piston adapter may be removably attached to the end of the piston. In all aspects, the change in length of the piston may be detected and used to modify movement of the piston, for example to more safely perform mechanical CPR.

  • Patent number: 11235361
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a control system that automatically (1) determines whether a gas extraction system is in a state in which landfill gas is being released into the atmosphere, and (2) automatically controls landfill gas flow to mitigate, prevent and/or stop the release of landfill gas. The control system may control a valve to control flow of landfill gas through well piping of the gas extraction system. The pressure of landfill gas in the well piping at a location upstream of the valve may indicate whether there is a risk of landfill gas being released into the atmosphere. The control system may adjust a position of the valve in response to determining that the pressure at the location upstream of the valve indicates that there is a risk of landfill gas being released into the atmosphere.
