  • Patent number: 7204258
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, whereby a cleaning and disinfecting circuit is established for the vacuum channels of an upper sealing tool (1) and a lower sealing tool (2). In the present case, the vacuum pump (3) is switched off and the connecting line to the sealing station is sealed or disconnected from the flanges at the point (10). The vacuum channels of the upper sealing station (1) are connected to the vacuum channels of the lower sealing tool (2) by means of an adapter (13) in a fluid-tight manner. The fluid circuit is closed by a pump (14), a fluid container (15) and the associated pipes, which are connected to the flanges (11), (12). • Patent number: 7123685
Abstract: The invention relates to continuously determining the fat content of meat. A conveyor belt is used on which the pieces of meat to be examined are advanced past a radiation source serving as a fat analyzing means. The attenuation of an X-ray beam emitted from the radiation source is measured by a detector to determine the fat content. A weighing device continuously determines the weight of the quantity of meat located on the conveyor belt at the time of the measurement. This also makes it possible to calculate the absolute fat content. The invention also relates to a method for automatically setting a defined fat content in a mixer. The examined meat is transferred from the conveyor belt and into the mixer. The accumulated fat content in the mixer is calculated, compared with a set value, and the conveyor belt is loaded with lean or fatty meat according to the result of this calculation.

  • Patent number: 6794025
Abstract: The inventive method for producing packaging materials consisting of a polyolefin foam layer (B) coated with a coating film (A) on at least one side, which packaging material is formable into self supporting packaging items, such as trays, by thermoforming or folding, comprises a coextrusion step or an extrusion lamination step in which step the bonding between the polyolefin foam layer (B) and the coating is achieved. With the extrusion lamination step, the method is as follows: In a first method step, a single-layer or multi-layer coating film (A) is produced by extrusion or coextrusion, in a second method step a polyolefin foam sheet (B) is produced by expansion and extrusion and in the third method step the polyolefin foam sheet (B) is coated with the coating film (A) by extrusion lamination, wherein a polyolefin bonding layer (30) is extruded between the foam sheet (B) and the coating film (A) and pressure is applied to the combination.

  • Patent number: 6132539
Abstract: A method in which a polyolefin foam layer is laminated to a sealing film having at least a first layer of a polyolefin. During the lamination a second layer is located between the first layer and the foam layer; the second layer is extruded therebetween and pressure is immediately applied. The second layer and the first layer are polyolefins each based on the same monomer as the main monomer of the foam layer. The same lamination technique may be used to laminate a sealing film to the other side of the foam layer, optionally at the same time as the lamination of the sealing film to the first side of the foam layer. Alternatively, the lamination technique may be used on one side of the foam layer, and the other side of the foam layer may be sealed by means of a coextruded layer.
