  • Patent number: 8666841
Abstract: A fraud detection system and method uses unique indicators for detecting fraud that extend beyond traditional transaction-based indicators. These unique indicators may include environmental information about a customer or a transaction. Such indicators may be used to identify fraud events based on computer-executable instructions that evaluate fraud risk. Further, an improved fraud detection system may include a learning component with a feedback loop. Also, authenticating and other information may be directed to the system for updating indicating data, fraud models, and risk assessments.

  • Patent number: 8484130
Abstract: A system and method for computerized metering, rating, billing and managing of account balances on an end computing device is disclosed herein wherein the end device may facilitate such processing whether the device is connected or is not connected to a network. The end device, furthermore, initiates communications with a host processor to obtain updated algorithms, rating tables and other accouterments necessary or desired to meter, rate, and process payments for transaction events. The end device initiates communications with the host processor or another end device to facilitate the synchronization of usage for pricing plans that span one or more devices.

  • Patent number: 8291439
Abstract: A system and method for implementing functions customized for a branded company are disclosed. A data platform includes a function database which initially receives, and stores, a standardized interface module, such as an application programming interface (API). The standardized interface module includes a plurality of elements, a subset of the elements required for function implementation and a second subset of the elements which can optionally be used to implement a function. A creation module communicates with the function database and modifies the standardized interface module, such as by selecting or removing optional elements from the standardized interface module to create a brand-specific interface. As the brand-specific interface includes the required elements and optional elements, a single system designed to process the required elements and the optional elements in the standardized interface can be used to implement multiple brand-specific interfaces which include different optional components.

  • Patent number: 7668093
Abstract: A framework to transition and re-partition information for event processing and downstream processing can be used in a real time system comprising components such as a consumer server, a file control database, an event manager, an event store, and a configurable output stream. The event manager may be a process which can be enhanced through the use of tags which are inserted to provide information for various downstream systems. The configurable output stream can be defined through an application programming interface which is configured to receive a filter to be applied to the output.

  • Patent number: 7213742
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for creating value by facilitating third party participation in mobile commerce transactions, providing consumers with a unified perspective of commercial activity, and selectively implementing discounts. The system may include a computerized engine and a point of sale wallet, which may be embedded in a personal trusted device. The computerized engine may be programmed to selectively implement a discount associated with a particular transaction. The personal trusted device may comprise a wireless communications technology, which enables the device to communicate with a back-end system and/or other point of sale devices. The personal trusted device may serve as the nexus of consumer transactions by facilitating payment as well as receipt and storage of electronic receipts. The personal trusted device may also be configured to transmit electronic receipts via the communications technology.
