Abstract: A system of synchronized computing devices, connected via a common network and configured to operate one or more common computing tasks across the system, includes a plurality of subcomponent computing devices, each including, at least, a non-transitory, machine readable storage medium, storing instructions associated with the one or more common computing tasks. The system further includes one or more processors, each of the processors configured to output a plurality of events occurring throughout the system. The system further includes a synchronization controller configured to determine a continually updating value of interest, based on a symmetric function of the one or more events, provide the continually updating value of interest, subject to a time delay, wherein the time delay is a time period having a length substantially longer than an average time interval between two consecutive members of the plurality of events.

Abstract: Network address date groups are defined that are associated with a group of electronic objects. Where network address date groups appear to relate to the same person or group, they are assigned an entity group identifier that allows tracking the electronic objects across network address changes. The entity group identifier may then be used by an advertiser or other service provider.

Abstract: A method for generating text explanations for the results of linearly constrained optimizations of a linear program includes determining, based on one or more constraints, bounds, and variable values of the linear program, if optimization based on the one or more constraints is feasible. The method further includes if optimization based on the one or more constraints is feasible, analyzing, the one or more constraints, bounds, and variable values of the linear program, in relation to one another, to determine one or more pairs of solutions to the linear program and associated shadow prices. The method further includes determining textual explanations for each of the pairs of solutions to the linear program and the associated shadow prices and presenting, via an output display, the user with at least one of the textual explanations for each of the pairs of solutions to the linear program and the associated shadow prices.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automatically classifying videos based on faces discovered in the videos, wherein the discovered faces are not known to be associated with a particular category of videos. The detected face is compared to a set of unknown faces to generate a cluster of unknown faces that each match with the detected face. A set of categorized videos is identified based on the cluster of unknown faces. One or more categories are assigned to the video based on categories from the set of categorized videos so that the video can be automatically classified based on the detected face even though the detected face is not associated with a known person.

Abstract: An identities collaboration system that comprises a Personal Service Provider (PSP) system for supplying specific user related personal service(s); means for assigning two different data files to each user opting-in to the PSP system, wherein one data file contains data representing the user identity at the PSP system and it assigned on a first domain, and the other data file(s) contains data representing the information regarding whether the user is opted-in, or another identity number that is related to the user identity at the PSP, and is assigned on a second domain.
