The device includes a cooling agent distributed over at least a portion of an area of the device, at least one liner positioned against and attached to at least one side of the cooling agent over at least the portion of the area of the device, and an adhesive. The adhesive is arranged on at least one side of the device so as to permit the device to be secured with respect to the anatomy of a user.
