    Abstract: A light fixture includes a member having a substantially frusto-conical shape. A channel extends between a wide top end of the member and a narrower bottom end of the member. The member includes multiple surfaces (“facets”) disposed around its outer surface. Each facet is configured to receive one or more light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) in a linear or non-linear array. Each facet can be integral to the member or coupled to the member. The channel is configured to transfer heat generated by the LEDs through convection. Fins can be disposed within the channel, extending from the inner surface of the member to an inner channel. The fins are configured to transfer heat away from, and provide a greater surface area for convecting heat away from, the member. For example, one or both of the channels can transfer heat by a venturi effect.

    Abstract: A fused disconnect switch assembly includes a pull out fuse assembly and a switch housing assembly. The fuse assembly includes a line side conducting portion, a load side conducting portion, and a fuse element therebetween. The switch housing assembly includes a fuse receptacle for receiving the fuse, a first contact assembly coupled to the line side conducting portion of the fuse and a second contact assembly coupled to the load side conducting portion of the fuse when the fuse is inserted into the receptacle. An open fuse indication device is in communication with conducting portions of the fuse, and an alarm terminal output extends from the switch assembly housing and is in communication with the open fuse indication device. The open fuse indication device provides local fuse state indication and the alarm terminal output facilitates remote fuse state indication when coupled to external circuitry.

    Abstract: A decorative lamp fixture includes a housing with a generally rectangular cross-section formed of a pair of identical interlocking extruded members. An opening or window is formed on each side of the housing. The housing includes a plurality of internal grooves or channels for holding fasteners supporting a bracket which secures a glass block in position, such that its face surfaces are adjacent or protrude slightly from the openings. A lamp is positioned within the housing such that it directs light at an edge of the glass block. Other edges of the glass block are coated with a light reflecting coating, such as white paint. The housing includes a cover, and the lamp may be secured to the cover, or it may be positioned below the glass block.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a subminiature fuse includes the steps of applying metallized coatings to surfaces at axially opposite ends of a hollow fuse body, placing a fuse element in an internal cavity in the fuse body, the fuse element extending from the first end to the second end of the cavity, placing a one of a solder and brazing preform and end termination at each of the first and second ends of the cavity, and heating the assembled fuse body, fuse element, solder preforms and end terminations to a temperature sufficient to cause the solder preforms to bond the fuse element to the end terminations and for the end terminations to bond with the metallized end portions of the fuse body, wherein the end terminations form hermetic seals closing the ends of the cavity. A subminiature fuse according to the invention includes a fuse body with a fuse element diagonally disposed in the body. The fuse body includes metallized end portions to which the end terminations are bonded.
