Abstract: Disclosed herein is an exercise machine that includes an elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a moveable carriage slidably coupled to the elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a spring support rod slidably coupled with the elongated frame and selectively positionable by a handle. The exercise machine includes at least one resistive member coupled at a first end with the spring support rod and at a second end with the moveable carriage. The resistive member is configured to bias the moveable carriage relative to the elongated frame. The exercise machine includes a first spring positioning rod slidably coupled to and moveable within a first rail on the elongated frame and a second spring positioning rod slidably coupled to and moveable within a second rail on an opposing side of the elongated frame. The spring support rod is extends between the first and second spring positioning rods.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a stair climber that includes a frame having a base, an upper axle and a lower axle, and steps revolvably coupled to the upper axle and the lower axle. The stair climber also includes an electric brake mechanism operating in generative mode and coupled with the steps and configured to provide a variable resistive force. Also included is a controller that receives an indication of a selected exercise mode from a user that includes a first speed, a second speed, and a difficulty level. The controller also balances a load, in a learning mode, on the steps based a user's weight at the first speed, and controls, in response to the user applying an additional load to the steps via a rail system, the electric brake mechanism to apply the difficulty level of the selected exercise mode and prevent the steps from exceeding the second speed.

In response to the pull pin being engaged with an engagement hole, movement of the adjustable pulley relative to the vertical post is restricted. The lock is selectively engageable with the pull pin. Abstract: A weight plate for physical fitness weight lifting equipment so that the weight plate may be coupled to other weight plates and lifted in a stack. The weight plate includes a pivotal switch arm having a first end at which to receive a pushing force to cause the switch arm to rotate and an opposite end at which a fork is carried. A post runs through a center bore hole of the weight plate. The weight plate also includes an intermediate channel and a locking cavity that are aligned with one another at opposite sides of the bore hole. When the pivotal switch arm is rotated to a locked position, the fork is rotated through the intermediate channel, into surrounding engagement with the center post, and completely through the bore hole for receipt by the locking cavity by which the weight plate is reliably coupled to the post.

Abstract: A vertical stack of weights is disposed beneath a base member, and at least one selector rod is rotatably mounted on the base member and selectively rotated into engagement with a desired number of the vertically stacked weights. A horizontal stack of weights is disposed on opposite sides of a base member, and at least one selector rod is movably mounted on the base member and selectively moved into engagement with the desired number of horizontally stacked weights. Various combinations of these arrangements may be used to provide adjustable resistance to exercise on dumbbells and/or weight stack machines.
