Abstract: A memory performance optimization method, a memory control circuit unit, and a memory storage device are provided. The method includes the following. An idle time of the memory storage device is counted in an active mode. The memory storage device is instructed to enter a first low electricity consumption mode from the active mode in response to the idle time being greater than an idle threshold. A first waiting time of the memory storage device is counted in the first low electricity consumption mode. The memory storage device is instructed to enter a second low electricity consumption mode from the first low electricity consumption mode in response to the first waiting time being greater than a first waiting threshold. Electricity consumption of the second low electricity consumption mode is lower than electricity consumption of the first low electricity consumption mode.

Abstract: A memory temperature controlling method and a memory temperature controlling system are provided. The method includes: performing, by a testing equipment, test modes on a memory storage device, and obtaining a first internal temperature of a memory control circuit unit, a second internal temperature of each memory package and a surface temperature of each memory package to establish a linear relationship expression of the first internal temperature, the second internal temperature and the surface temperature; using, by the memory storage device, the linear relationship expression to calculate a predicted surface temperature of a rewritable non-volatile memory based on a first current internal temperature of the memory control circuit unit and a second current internal temperature of each memory package; adjusting, by the memory storage device, an operating frequency for accessing the rewritable non-volatile memory based on the predicted surface temperature.

The components cooperate with each other. The test chart is tilted relative to the optical axis of the lens and makes the test chart distributed at different distances along the axis. When using the camera to shoot the collimator, the clarity of different components reflects the relative focus position of the camera so as to detect the vehicle mounted camera.

Abstract: A memory management method, a memory control circuit unit and a memory storage apparatus are provided. The method includes: recording a valid count of each physical erasing unit in a plurality of physical erasing units; sequentially arranging M physical erasing units corresponding to each of chip enable groups according to the valid count to form a plurality of sorted physical erasing units; remapping the physical erasing units corresponding to M virtual blocks according to the plurality of sorted physical erasing units; calculating a total number of valid counts of the remapped M virtual blocks, and sequentially arranging the remapped M virtual blocks according to the total number of valid counts to form a plurality of sorted virtual blocks; and sequentially extracting at least one of the sorted virtual blocks as a source virtual block to perform a garbage collection operation.

The memory polling method includes: detecting a plurality of busy times corresponding to a plurality of physical units when executing a plurality of first commands; counting the busy times corresponding to the physical units to generate a count statistic value, and determine a delay time based on the count statistic value; and transmitting a plurality of status requests to a rewritable non-volatile memory module after the delay time.

Abstract: A bulk roll cutting apparatus with a safety linkage is used to prevent inadvertent gravitational falls of a blade. The apparatus has a frame holding the blade, the blade is movable between a cutting position and a retracted position. In the cutting position, the blade is positioned proximate to an arbor. At least one link arm is movably connected to the frame. An actuator connects between the at least one link arm and the blade. An adjustment device connects between the at least one link arm and the frame. The adjustment device controls a cutting depth of the blade relative to the arbor. A safety linkage connects between the at least one link arm and the frame, and the safety linkage prevents an inadvertent gravitational fall of the blade.

The method includes: reading a physical unit and updating a read count of the physical unit; scanning the physical unit if the updated read count is not less than a read count threshold; and adjusting the read count threshold according to the read count and a read error bit. Therefore, a data unit that needs to be scanned can be determined to reduce unnecessary data scanning.

Abstract: A heat and humidity exchanger comprises panels made up of membrane sheets attached on either side of a separator. Channels extend across each panel between the separator and the membrane sheets. The panels are much stiffer than the membrane sheets. Panels are stacked in a spaced apart relationship to provide an ERV core. Spacing between adjacent panels may be smaller than a thickness of the panels.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reporting health status for a plurality of computing devices such as within a data center are disclosed. A management device connected to the computing devices via a network executes a management application that periodically requests and receives status data from the computing devices. A pool checker may be used to track corresponding pool status data, and an environment checker may periodically request and receive environmental data from environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, and audio. A report generator creates health reports and assigns device health classifications based on the device status data, the environmental data, and the pool health data. The data may be associated with one or more locations and customers, permitting filtering of the report.

Abstract: A rack and system for cooling computing devices such as in a data center is disclosed. In one embodiment, the rack supports a plurality of computing devices and comprises a plurality of planar annular sector or trapezoidal shelves, each having one or more positions for holding computing devices. A number of vertical supports may hold the shelves in a vertically spaced arrangement, and an air barrier may be affixed to the rack and have openings that permit exhaust air to flow from the computing devices through the air barrier into a hot aisle. The rack may be configured to be connected to other similar racks to form a vertical annular cylinder, which may be tapered, and the computing devices may be installed to discharge exhaust at an angle relative to a centerline of the vertical annular cylinder to improve airflow.

Abstract: Systems and methods for affecting metabolism, such as the treatment of metabolic syndrome are disclosed. A method for treating metabolic syndrome can include one or more of the steps including identifying a region of the patient comprising glabrous tissue; positioning the region of the patient comprising glabrous tissue into an enclosed chamber; adjusting the relative humidity of the enclosed chamber sufficient to create a physiologic metabolic effect; and activating a convection fan within the chamber to promote heat transfer from the glabrous tissue. The method need not involve altering the temperature within the enclosed chamber.

Abstract: Systems and apparatuses for provisioning computer services or resources and methods for making and using the same. In one embodiment, an exemplary method for performing an iterative search can include selecting a service from a group of available services for adjustment. An application associated with the selected service can be run, and an amount of resources consumed while the application is run can be captured. A provision level for the selected service, a provision type for the selected service or both can be adjusted based upon the captured amount of resources consumed. The method then can determine whether provision levels of the available services, provision types of the available services or both require further adjustment to be most performant. The approaches described herein advantageously can be applied, for example, to “right-size” or “scale” multiple resources.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical or nutraceutical formulations are provided for treating inflammation in a subject in need thereof, as well as methods of treating inflammation in a subject in need thereof by administering one of the formulations. In some aspects, the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical formulation includes an effective amount of (i) palmitoylethanolamide or a derivative thereof, and (ii) one, two, three or more different small-molecule polyphenols or derivatives thereof to alleviate one or more causes or symptoms of the inflammation in the subject. In some aspects, the formulations include all three, e.g. the formulations includes (i) palmitoylethanolamide or a derivative thereof, (ii) quercetin or a derivative thereof, and (iii) curcumin or a derivative thereof. In some instances, the components (i)-(iii) discussed above are present at a mass ratio of about (i) 4 mg to 6 mg of palmitoylethanolamide or a derivative thereof to (ii) about 0.5 to 2.5 mg curcumin or a derivative thereof, and (iii) about 0.5 mg to 1.

Abstract: A method for completing a subterranean formation includes conveying a perforator assembly into a borehole drilled in the subterranean formation. The perforator assembly includes at least one shaped charge and at least one tracer package that includes at least one fluid production tracer material and a tracer injector. The method further includes forming at least one tunnel in a production structure by detonating one or more shaped charges and injecting the at least one fluid production tracer material into the formation using the tracer injector after the detonation of the at least one shaped charge. The at least one production tracer material physically associates with at least one resident fluid in the subterranean formation.

Abstract: A rack and system for cooling computing devices such as in a data center is disclosed. In one embodiment, the rack supports computing devices and comprises planar annular sector or trapezoidal shelves, each having one or more positions for holding computing devices. The rack may be configured to be connected to other similar racks to form a vertical geometric prism or annular cylinder, which may be tapered, and the computing devices may be installed to discharge exhaust at an angle. A number of vertical supports may hold the shelves in a vertically spaced arrangement to from a helix within the prism or cylinder. An air barrier may be affixed to the rack and have openings permitting exhaust air to flow from the computing devices through the air barrier. The helix formed by the shelves may channel the airflow generated by the computing devices into a vortex to improve cooling.

Abstract: A nutriculture device includes: a culture bed having an upward facing opening; a planting panel that covers the opening of the culture bed, includes a through hole having a crop pass therethrough, and defines an internal space between the cover and the culture bed; a water retention mat inside the internal space and that retains water; a plurality of culture containers each of which supports the crop, each of which is arranged in the internal space, and each of which is provided with a bottom hole; a medium housed in each culture container; a mat-side water irrigation unit feeding water to the water retention mat; and a container-side water irrigation unit feeding water into each of the culture containers per container unit including some of the culture containers or per culture container. The nutriculture device with this configuration can cultivate high-quality crops while suppressing generated drainage water.
