  • Patent number: 10384045
Abstract: A microprojection array comprising an approximately planar base and a plurality of microprojections, wherein the array comprises a therapeutic macromolecule and a stabilizing excipient. Described herein are microstructures having a proximal and distal layer, wherein the distal layer which contains the therapeutic molecule does not rely on the presence of a structure-forming polymer to impart the mechanical strength necessary to penetrate the skin. Methods of forming the array, and methods of using the array are contemplated.

  • Patent number: 10307379
Abstract: A transdermal delivery system for systemic delivery of donepezil is described, where the system comprises an adhesive matrix drug reservoir layer comprised of a copolymer of acrylic acid/vinyl acetate, triethyl citrate, and donepezil base generated in situ by reaction of donepezil HCl and an alkaline salt. The system is provided for treatment of Alzheimer's disease, and achieves transdermal delivery of the therapeutic agent at steady state that is bioequivalent to administration of the therapeutic agent orally.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2018
Date of Patent: June 4, 2019
