    Abstract: A method of generating a stitch file for an embroidery design selected by a user where the embroidery design includes a plurality of elements. According to one embodiment, the method includes acts of rendering an image of the selected embroidery design at a display visible to the user, receiving an order placed electronically by the user for the embroidery design; and generating, following the act of receiving, a stitch file corresponding to the embroidery design, wherein the embroidery design includes both text elements and design elements.
