Abstract: A method for drilling a well includes applying energy input to a drill string (31) by at least one of rotating the drill string (31) from surface and operating a drilling motor (41) disposed in the drill string (31) to operate a drill bit (2) at a bottom of the drill string (31); an amount of the applied energy not consumed in drilling formations caused by at least one of motion, deformation, and interaction of the drill string (31) is calculated; an amount of the applied energy used to drill formations below the drill bit (2) is calculated; and at least one drilling operating parameter is adjusted based on energy calculation before or during drilling operation.

Based upon the interaction and the user profile, aspect include activating the at least one of the plurality of devices during playback of the scene. Abstract: A computer-implemented method for visualizing uncertainty in flow measurements is provided. A non-limiting exemplary method includes reading, by a processor, a plurality of fluid flow measurements having a magnitude, a direction, and a location. The method plots a plurality of points on a first polar graph, each point representing the difference in fluid flow measurements between two of the plurality of fluid flow measurements at different locations and calculates an uncertainty boundary line based on the plurality of plotted points. The method filters, by the processor, the plurality of plotted points to remove plotted points outside of the uncertainty boundary line leaving only remaining plotted points and defines at least one cluster of remaining plotted points based on similar behavior of a subset of the remaining plotted points. The method may use the remaining plotted points to provide adaptive setup to tune a response in the fluid flow measurements.

The knee airbag includes a lower crash pad that has a panel shape to block a steering column to prevent exposure of the steering column to an indoor space of a vehicle, and includes a housing unit having recesses dented toward the steering column such that the housing unit is spaced apart from the steering column by a designated distance. An airbag module of the knee airbag includes an inflator and a cushion and contained in the housing unit of the lower crash pad to deploy the cushion toward a driver's knee outside the lower crash pad when the cushion is deployed by explosion of the inflator.

Abstract: A disclosed gas turbine engine includes a fan section delivering air into a compressor section. An environmental control system includes a higher pressure tap at a higher pressure location in the compressor section, and a lower pressure tap at a lower pressure location. The lower pressure tap communicates to a first passage leading to a downstream outlet, and having a second passage leading into a compressor section of a turbocompressor. The higher pressure tap leads into a turbine section of the turbocompressor such that air in the higher pressure tap drives the turbine section to in turn drive the compressor section of the turbocompressor. A combined outlet of the compressor section and the turbine section of the turbocompressor intermixes and passes downstream to be delivered to an aircraft use.
