Abstract: A vehicle head restraint assembly has a guide member mounted proximate to a vehicle seat back. A head restraint is mounted to another guide member. A button actuator is mounted to an outboard side of the head restraint for movement of the button actuator in a direction perpendicular to a lateral direction of the head restraint. A locking mechanism cooperates with the first guide member and the second guide member for locking the second guide member relative to the first guide member. The locking mechanism is connected to the button actuator so that actuation of the button actuator disengages the locking mechanism and permits adjustment of the position of the head restraint relative to the vehicle seat back.
Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) enabled device that is configured to distinguish reflected GNSS signals from direct GNSS signals utilizing three-dimensional models of the terrain in the proximity of the GNSS enabled device. By utilizing the identification of reflected GNSS signals, the reflected GNSS signals can be excluded and/or weighted to achieve a more accurate location determination.
Abstract: Disclosed is a touch sensor, including: a plurality of driving electrodes; a plurality of detection electrodes positioned to cross the driving electrodes; and a driver configured to supply driving signals corresponding to driving codes to the driving electrodes, in which the driver supplies the same driving signal as that of a previous driving period to a corresponding driving electrode for a current driving period when the driving code is set to a first value, and supplies a driving signal different from that of the previous driving period to the corresponding driving electrode for the current driving period when the driving code is set to a second value.

Abstract: After receiving at least one touch point on a touch screen, detect at least one initial position of the touch point on the touch screen. When the touch point slides away from the initial position, scroll an image displayed on the touch screen according to at least one sliding action of the touch point. Then detect the number of the touch points on the touch screen, and update a scrolling rate of the image displayed on the touch screen according to the number of the touch points moving on the touch screen. The scrolling rate of the image is directly proportional to the number of the touch points moving on the touch screen.
Abstract: An electricity connection box includes a housing which includes a first insertion port and a second insertion port, a first connection portion group made of connection portions which are provided inside the housing and to which electric wires of a first electric wire group are connected, and a second connection portion group made of connection portions which are provided inside the housing and to which electric wires of a second electric wire group are connected. The first electric wire group is inserted through the first insertion port, and the second electric wire group is inserted through the second insertion port. The first connection portion group is closer to the first insertion port than the second connection portion group. The second connection portion group is closer to the second insertion port than the first connection portion group.
Abstract: The excursion of a loudspeaker cone is estimated using a reference signal in one example, a primary signal, produced by a cone of a loudspeaker, is received and a reference signal produced simultaneously with the primary signal by the loudspeaker cone is received. The reference signal causes an excursion of the loudspeaker cone that is amplitude modulated by the excursion caused by the primary signal. An amplitude modulation of the reference signal is determined and an excursion of the loudspeaker cone is determined using the determined amplitude modulation.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the disclosure, a drill and detection system is disclosed. The system may include a drill and a thermal detector spaced apart from the drill. The drill may be directed in a first direction and the thermal detector may be directed in a second direction opposite the first direction.
Abstract: A method for performing information monitoring control and an associated apparatus and an associated monitoring system are provided, where the method is applied to an electronic device, and the apparatus includes at least one portion of an electronic device. The method includes: detecting at least one target division block of at least one web page according to user gesture input information and determining subscription information corresponding to the target division block, wherein the web page including the target division block is provided by at least one web server; and sending the subscription information to at least one monitoring control server to subscribe to a monitored version of the target division block, for being displayed/output by utilizing the electronic device.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for amplifying laser signals using segments of fibers of differing core diameters and/or differing cladding diameters to suppress amplified spontaneous emission and non-linear effects such as four-wave mixing (FWM), self-phase modulation, and stimulated Brillouin and/or Raman scattering (SBS/SRS). In some embodiments, different core sizes have different sideband spacings (spacing between the desired signal and wavelength-shifted lobes). Changing core sizes and providing phase mismatches prevent buildup of non-linear effects. Some embodiments further include a bandpass filter to remove signal other than the desired signal wavelength and/or a time gate to remove signal at times other than during the desired signal pulse. Some embodiments include photonic-crystal cores for the signal and/or photonic-crystal inner cladding for the pump and/or use reflector connector segments.
Abstract: A conductive polymer material which can achieve longer operating life by improving resistance stability at the time of performing continuous conduction, a method for producing the conductive polymer material, and an image forming device member are provided. A conductive polymer material containing a quaternary ammonium base incorporated in a main chain of a polymer material as an electrolyte cation, and an alkyl sulfate radical as an electrolyte anion.
Abstract: A system and method for iteratively deploying a workload pattern are provided. The system and method determines a current set of requirements for at least one piece of the workload pattern that is initiated in a designer and generates a stability metric for at least one of the current set of requirements. The system and method further compares the stability metric to an acceptance threshold and calculates an estimated time to deploy the at least one piece of the workload pattern based on the comparing of the stability metric to the acceptance threshold.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for managing backup operations from a client system to a primary server and secondary server. A determination is made at the client system of whether a state of the data on the secondary server permits a backup operation in response to determining that the primary server is unavailable when a force failover parameter is not set. The client system reattempts to connect to the primary server to perform the backup operation at the primary server in response to determining that the state of the data on the secondary server does not permit the backup operation. The client system performs the backup operation at the secondary server in response to determining that the state of the secondary server permits the backup operation.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to data retrieval in an enterprise system through use of a graphical selection tree. An exemplary device to implement and display such a selection tree includes one or more processors, and also a data selection component and a query engine that are each executable by the one or more processors. The data selection component, when operable, receives, within a graphical user interface (GUI), user input to select a predefined data metric, and displays, within the GUI, a selection tree containing graphical branches associated with a data dimension, wherein each branch corresponding to a data attribute within the data dimension. The query engine generates, for each branch in the selection tree that is selected, a data query to request data of the selected data metric that matches the data attribute corresponding to the selected branch. The query engine also is capable of sending each generated data query to a data storage system.
