A control circuit coupled to the thermistor activates a heater, also in the package, when the temperature inside the package falls below a predetermined value. As a result, the temperature within the package may be adjusted to reduce humidity and condensation to thereby prevent corrosion within the package. Moreover, a less expensive non-hermetic package, which is susceptible to moisture intrusion, may be employed.
