Abstract: An anastomosis device (10) in which radiographic band markers (26, 28) are used to determine fluoroscopically whether approximation structures (24) have been deployed based upon the observed alignment of the radiographic band markers and the approximation structures. The radiographic band markers are positioned proximate a distal end (22) of the anastomosis device wherein a medical professional can fluoroscopically compare a position of crimp hubs (30) on the approximation structures with the radiographic band markers.

Abstract: There is provided, in one aspect of the present description, an engine. In one example, the engine comprises a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a sheet metal gasket interposed between the block and the head, a first projection projecting outwardly and laterally from a side portion of the block, and a second projection projecting outwardly and laterally from a side portion of the head, the first projection and the second projection facing each other along a coupling surface between the block and the head. The engine further comprises an extension extending from a main body of the sheet metal gasket and located between the first projection and the second projection, and a resilient portion which is provided in the extension, formed resiliently in a direction perpendicular to the coupling surface, and compressed between the first projection and the second projection when the head is fastened on the block.

The cover portion has a first cover portion comprising a resin cured product containing a magnetic material; and a second cover portion comprising a non-magnetic material. The second cover portion is interposed at least between the first flange and the first cover portion.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method for processing a payment transaction comprises receiving, by a payor an invoice generated from a first enterprise resource planning (ERP) system operated by a payee. The first ERP system formatted the invoice in a first format. The invoice is stored in a second format compatible with a second ERP system. The invoice has been converted from the first format to the second format, which is different from the first format. Approval of the invoice is received through the second ERP system. Authorization instructing a financial institution to transmit a payment to the payee is generated and transmitted to the financial institution. Confirmation of the payment to the payee is generated and transmitted to the payee.

Abstract: In accordance with certain aspects, data is received from a calling program. Ciphertext that includes the data is generated, using public key encryption, in a manner that allows the data to be obtained from the ciphertext only if one or more conditions are satisfied. In accordance with another aspect, a bit string is received from a calling program. Data in the bit string is decrypted using public key decryption and returned to the calling program only if one or more conditions included in the bit string are satisfied.

Abstract: An ejecting mechanism suitable for being disposed in a housing of an electronic device is provided. The ejecting mechanism includes a guiding plate, a pair of stopping elements, and a moving element. The guiding plate is disposed on the housing. The stopping elements are disposed on the guiding plate, and the stopping elements are adapted to move away from each other or close to each other in a first direction. The moving element is disposed at the housing and movable in a second direction. The moving element has two pushing portions disposed on a second surface of the moving element that faces the stopping elements.

Abstract: A switched digital video (SDV) system includes an SDV manager for coordinating a SDV session requested by a subscriber terminal. The system also includes a plurality of edge devices for receiving a transport stream that includes programming content and transmitting the transport stream over an access network to the subscriber terminal on one of a plurality of SDV channels. The SDV manager is configured to monitor bandwidth and cause the edge device to deliver the SDV session to the subscriber terminal in a SDV unicast stream when sufficient unused bandwidth is available or as a SDV multicast stream when sufficient unused bandwidth is not available.

Abstract: A photovoltaic device includes: a substrate; lower and upper electrode layers disposed above the substrate; and a semiconductor layer disposed between the lower and upper electrode layers, the semiconductor layer absorbing incident light to excite electrons from the semiconductor layer, wherein the semiconductor layer includes a built-in bypass diode extending between and coupled with the lower and upper electrode layers, the bypass diode permitting electric current to flow through the bypass diode when a reverse bias is applied across the lower and upper electrode layers.

Abstract: There is disclosed a device which realizes a shortcut function without providing any key exclusively used for the shortcut function. When a home key is operated in a state where a lower screen at a lower position of a hierarchical structure is displayed, a home screen at an upper position of the hierarchical structure is displayed, and data to specify the lower screen when the home key is operated are stored in association with the home key. When the home key is operated in a state where the home screen is displayed, the lower screen is displayed based on the stored data to take a shortcut to the lower screen from the home screen.

In an embodiment, the system includes simulated neurons, a phase modulator, and an entity-identifier module. Each simulated neuron is connected to one or more other simulated neurons and is associated with an activity and a phase. The activity and the phase of each simulated neuron is set based on the activity and the phase of the one or more other simulated neurons connected to each simulated neuron. The phase modulator includes individual modulators, each configured to modulate the activity and the phase of each of the plurality of simulated neurons based on a modulation function. The entity-identifier module is configured to identify one or more distinct entities (e.g., objects, sound sources, etc.) included in the input signal based on the one or more distinct collections of simulated neurons that have substantially distinct phases.

Abstract: A method includes, during an ongoing call of a wireless user terminal in one of a circuit switched domain or a packet switched domain, initiating a handover procedure; setting parameters allowing the other domain to determine the actual resources needed to continue the call in the other domain, sending an indication of these parameters towards a network element of the other domain and completing the handover procedure. When the ongoing call is in the circuit switched domain completing the handover procedure results in handing over the ongoing call to the packet switched domain, and when the ongoing call is in the packet switched domain completing the handover procedure results in handing over the ongoing call to the circuit switched domain. For example, the circuit switched domain may be a GERAN network and the packet switched domain may be an E-UTRAN (LTE) network.

Abstract: A computer program product for procuring information from entities in a network via an Input/Output (I/O) processing system includes a tangible storage medium readable by a processing circuit and storing instructions for execution by the processing circuit for performing a method. The method includes receiving, at a channel subsystem, at least one network topology information request from an operating system. The method also includes building at least one command request that includes the at least one network topology information request, and sending the at least one command request from the channel subsystem to at least one network entity. The method further includes receiving a response to the at least one command request from the at least one network entity by the channel subsystem, and forwarding the response from the channel subsystem to the operating system.

Abstract: Described are techniques for use in connection with analyzing a droplet. One or more droplets of a sample are formed on a surface of a digital microfluidic device. The droplets are manipulated to perform processing using said one or more droplets generating one or more resulting droplets. The one or more resulting droplets may be transferred from the microfluidic device to another device for analysis. The one or more droplets may also be provided to the digital microfluidic device from yet another device or analysis instrument.
