Abstract: A method for compensating a power amplifier based on operational-based changes begins by measuring one of a plurality of operational parameters of the power amplifier to produce a measured operational parameter. The method continues by comparing the measured operational parameter with a corresponding one of a plurality of desired operational parameter settings. The method continues by, when the comparing of the measured operational parameter with the corresponding one of a plurality of desired operational parameter settings is unfavorable, determining a difference between the measured operational parameter and the corresponding one of a plurality of desired operational parameter settings. The method continues by calibrating the one of the plurality of operational settings based on the difference.
Abstract: A method for operating a commissioned e-commerce service provider provides services to businesses on a computerized network such as the Internet in exchange for a small commission on the commercial transactions generated using those services. Unlike most ISPs that provide services to individuals and businesses, the commissioned e-commerce service provider preferably provides Internet services for businesses operating web sites or other application that generate e-commerce transactions for the business. Instead of paying a monthly fee for the Internet services required to host a web site or operate and e-commerce site, the business contracts with the commissioned e-commerce service provider to provide these services based on receiving a percentage commission of the commercial transactions generated using these services.
Abstract: Determining a summary feature set is disclosed. A plurality of subsegments of a first segment are selected. For each subsegment, a plurality of values by applying a set of functions to each subsegment are computed. From all the values computed for all the subsegments, a first subset of values is selected.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a microelectronic structure and the manufacture of the microelectronic structure. Specifically, the disclosure relates to an interconnect barrier layer between a rhodium contact structure and a copper interconnect structure in a microelectronic structure. The microelectronic structure provides for low resistance in microelectronic devices.

Abstract: A motor driving control method in which when the steering angular velocity is lower than a predetermined reference angular velocity, an actual motor drive current is inferred from a back electromotive voltage and an applying voltage in a three-phase brushless motor, and a limitation on the peak level of each of three-phase alternating current command waves is mitigated by permitting the interval between a pair of intersection points of a peak area of each of the three-phase alternating current command waves with a peak point neighborhood of a triangle wave to become approximately the same length as a dead time.
Abstract: A mobile terminal apparatus includes a plurality of interfaces, each interface being capable of, when an associated access mechanism thereof is in an active state, obtaining a connection to a network using one of a home-address and a care-of-address. The home-address is assigned to the interface in advance, and the care-of-address is assigned to the interface while the interface is in a domain where the home-address is not available. An instructing section instructs a setup of a binding of a home-address of a first interface of the plurality of interfaces and one of a home-address and a care-of-address of a second interface. A setup section sets up the binding.
Abstract: A method for modulating a video input signal received into a modulation circuit is disclosed. A first step of the method generally comprises (A) during a first modulation pass, generating (i) a primary frame by inserting a plurality of primary synchronization codes into the video input signal, (ii) a secondary frame by inserting a plurality of secondary synchronization codes into the video input signal, (iii) a plurality of first values and a first digital sum value both for the primary frame and (iv) a plurality of second values and a second digital sum value both for the secondary frame. A second step of the method generally comprises (B) during a second modulation pass, generating a video output signal presented from the modulation circuit by modulating the video input signal using one set of (i) the first values and (ii) the second values as determined by the first digital sum value relative to the second digital sum value.

Abstract: A portable electrical device requiring periodic recharging mates with a corresponding charging device by dropping or placing the portable device on or in the charger without pre-alignment by the user. The charger-to-device interface self aligns the portable electrical device in the charger for charging. Preferably, the charger is a bowl-shaped cradle. The portable device sinks to the bottom of the bowl using the force of gravity and thus aligns the contacts for recharging. Optional magnets may provide additional force to guide alignment.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for shifting the voltage level of signals from a low voltage domain to a high voltage domain, where VDDH is the supply voltage of the high voltage domain and VDDL is the supply voltage of the low voltage domain. A level shifting circuit uses a single input rather than dual rail inputs and does not produce a direct current flow in order to reduce the power consumption. The voltage level shifting circuit may also be used to shift a clock signal since the delays of the rising and falling edges of the clock signal are matched by using a delay element.

Abstract: A baseband processing module of a Radio Frequency receiver produces time domain equalizer coefficients and calculates a power threshold based upon a total power of a plurality of taps of the time domain equalizer coefficients. The baseband processing module then performs a plurality of iterations, during each of which it identifies at least one minimum power tap and determines a total power figure based upon zeroing the at least one minimum power tap. When the total power figure compares favorably to the power threshold, the baseband processing module modifies the plurality of taps by zeroing the at least one minimum power tap and continuing iterating. When the total power figure compares unfavorably to the power threshold, the baseband processing module ceases iterating without modifying the plurality of taps by zeroing the at least one minimum power tap and then produces modified time domain equalizer coefficients.
Abstract: Computer systems with direct updating of cache (e.g., primary L1 cache) memories of a processor, such as a central processing unit (CPU) or graphics processing unit (GPU). Special addresses are reserved for high speed memory. Memory access requests involving these reserved addresses are routed directly to the high speed memory. Memory access requests not involving these reserved addresses are routed to memory external to the processor.

Abstract: Methods and systems for shared cache eviction in a multi-core processing environment having a cache shared by a plurality of processor cores are provided. Embodiments include receiving from a processor core a request to load a cache line in the shared cache; determining whether the shared cache is full; determining whether a cache line is stored in the shared cache that has been accessed by fewer than all the processor cores sharing the cache if the shared cache is full; and evicting a cache line that has been accessed by fewer than all the processor cores sharing the cache if a cache line is stored in the shared cache that has been accessed by fewer than all the processor cores sharing the cache.

Abstract: A method for managing a plurality of software applications. An application assessment score is computed for each application. A delivery model is selected for each of said applications. The delivery model is a Local model, a Remote model, or a Local-Remote model. The Local model, the Remote model, and the Local-Remote model are each relative to a local geographical area. The delivery model is selected as function of the application assessment score. The method may be implemented using a computer program product that includes a computer usable medium having a computer readable program code embodied therein. The computer readable program code is adapted to execute the steps of the method.
