  • Patent number: 7699634
Abstract: An electrical connector has a non-conductive outer housing and a spring-loaded conductive assembly mounted within. The non-conductive outer housing has a longitudinal axis along which the spring-loaded conductive assembly is allowed to move over a limited range, in either direction. The conductive assembly includes a conductive contact pad and an conductive elongated shaft which are mated together within the non-conductive outer housing. A spring mounted along the contact shaft and in abutment therewith biases the contact shaft in a direction away from the contact base. When the electrical connector is employed in a chamber lid of a chamber lid assembly having an integrated laminated heater, such as for use in conjunction with a wafer processing chamber, the spring biases a lower surface of the contact shaft against the heater.

  • Patent number: 7700959
Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device capable of obtaining a high light reflectance through the use of a high-reflection metal layer formed on the side of an electrode on one side and capable of preventing migration of atoms from the high-reflectance metal layer is provided. Semiconductor layers of the opposite conduction types are formed on the opposite sides of an active layer, and an ohmic contact layer being a thin film for contriving a decrease in contact resistance, a transparent and conductive layer, and a high-reflection metal layer for reflecting light generated in the active layer are sequentially layered on one of the semiconductor layers. Since the transparent conductive layer functions also as a barrier layer and it transmits light, a high light take-out efficiency can be obtained through the reflection at the high-reflectance metal layer.

  • Patent number: 7698743
Abstract: A DVD terminal (20) makes a request for sending a sub-content to an authentication server (40) (in this case, attaches the “model name and serial number” of the DVD terminal (20)) (S302). The authentication server (40) generates a random number R (S304) and sends it to the DVD terminal (20) (S306). The DVD terminal (20) reads a terminal key and a terminal ID that are stored in a terminal information memory unit (25), decrypts the received random number R using a terminal key (SK_X) (S308) and sends this and the terminal ID (ID_X) to the authentication server (40) (S310). The authentication server (40) verifies the random number R and the terminal ID that are received from the DVD terminal (20) and encrypted, and judges whether the DVD terminal (20) is the authenticated terminal or not (S312).

  • Patent number: 7697025
Abstract: Positional and elevation data obtained from a camera unit is correlated with coordinates in an entire image display portion, used as a GUI having positional information to select a specified image with a mouse. Which frame this corresponds to in the entire image is calculated, and further, the position within the clicked frame is calculated. The calculated positional information is converted into positional information and elevation data of the frame. The camera unit is controlled with the positional information and elevation data from the camera unit, and an image of a range indicated by a specified image display frame superimposed on the display portion is taken, and stored and/or displayed. This allows confirmation an image of a range to be photographed beforehand, and the user can tell the relation between the range capable of acquiring images and the photography range at a glance, so desired portions can be continuously monitored.

  • Patent number: 7698505
Abstract: A data caching approach is provided for a distributed computing environment employing coherent data caching. The data caching approach includes dynamically deciding whether to associate a priority tag with requested data for a processing unit, wherein the priority tag is to be employed in deciding whether to hold the requested data in a local cache associated with the processing unit. The dynamically deciding includes determining whether latency of arrival of requested data at the processing unit meets a set threshold, and if so, associating the priority tag with the requested data. The priority tag indicates that at least one of the requested data is to be captured in the local cache or the requested data is to be maintained in the local cache over other data without an associated priority tag. In one implementation, the threshold is a programmable threshold, and the local cache is a lookaside cache.
