  • Patent number: 5107849
Abstract: A system for processing a repeating complex waveform that removes or reduces a significant portion of artifacts and other noise from the desired source signal. The system employs a phase detector for isolating artifacts from the source which are then used in processing the ECG waveform. The method and apparatus is especially useful in processing ECG signals reflective of heart conditions. The resulting clean signal makes accurate diagnosis of pending patient condition faster and more reliable.

  • Patent number: 5003983
Abstract: A cardiac monitor system reads an EKG signal and conditions the EKG waveform in a manner that accentuates the information on ST segment location, within the waveform. ST segment location is used to modulate pulse width of a generated square wave permitting fast and accurate access to information regarding ST segment elevation and depression.
