Abstract: A refrigerator display cabinet includes a refrigerated chamber having at least one transparent display window. A condenser and a compressor are positioned below the refrigerated chamber, and a fan draws exterior air through the condenser to thereby warm the air and then directs the warm air to the compressor. A deflector diverts a portion of the flow of warm air from the condenser to the compressor into a duct including a first duct portion extending horizontally from the deflector above the compressor. The dimension of the first duct portion in a direction transverse to the direction of air flow progressively decreases away from the deflector. The first duct portion opens laterally along one entire side thereof. A second duct portion is connected to and extends upwardly from the open side of the first duct and opens in a direction toward the outer surface of the display window.
Abstract: In a cold cabinet comprising a refrigerated chest, a base supporting the chest, a refrigeration unit is mounted on a frame pivoted on the base and connected to the chest.Such a cold cabinet is accessible from both sides to facilitate maintenance thereof.
Abstract: An island-type chest freezer for the display of food products to the public. The chest includes a base and a rectangular container provided with an evaporator for receiving the products as well as cover panels. The chest freezer includes a beam disposed longitudinally in the container in a median position and at a level close to an upper edge of the cover panels. The beam acts as a support for the evaporator and for one side of the cover panel. The chest freezer allows the use of a single evaporator which, being centrally located, ensures uniform refrigeration within the container.
Abstract: A refrigerated display counter has an interspace between an insulated tub-shaped cabinet and an inner tank forming a display surface. A cold air distribution duct provides for cold air flow over the display surface. An opening is provided in the cold air distribution duct, below the display surface level and deflector means are mounted in proximity to the opening for deflecting part of the cold air flow into the interspace.
