Abstract: An actuator cap (1; 50) for a fluid spray dispenser comprises a second body part (2) and a first body part (3). The first body part (3) is adapted for connection to a container for the fluid to be dispensed and incorporates a spray channel arrangement (4). The second body part (2) incorporates an actuator button (5) and is rotatable with respect to the first body part (3) from a first position in which the actuator button (5) is non-elevated into a second position in which the actuator button (5) is elevated and capable of depression to cause depression of a part (16) of the spray channel arrangement (4). The actuator button (4) defines a first cam profile (20) along which a first cam follower (22) defined by the first body part (3) travels to cause elevation or retraction of the actuator button (5) when the second body part (3) is rotated.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fluid medium dispensing system (1) for dispensing a fluid medium stored under pressure. The system (1) comprises a container (3) for storing the fluid medium under pressure, the container (3) comprising a neck (5) defining an opening (6). A valve cup (2) supporting a valve (4) closes the opening (6) of the container (3). Contiguous portions (14, 5) of the valve cup (2) and the neck (5) are comprised of plastics materials. The plastics materials of these contiguous portions (14, 5) are fused to form a molten weld seam (15a; 15b) by laser welding thereby sealing the container (3). Preferably, the plastics material of the neck (5) of the container (3) is laser-transparent and the plastics material of the valve cup (2) is laser-absorbing. Advantageously, the plastics material of the valve cup (2) is a semi-crystalline polymer. The invention also provides a method of assembling a dispensing system (1) for a fluid medium.

Abstract: A fluid container in the form of a can having a neck defining an opening, and fastened in a water-tight manner to the neck a valve element with a valve cup supporting a hollow stem movable against an elastic element between a first stable closing position and a second unstable position for delivering fluid through a cavity in the stem, the cavity communicating with the interior of the can in a dispensing position, the can being fixed to a support base of the container, the base comprising a support surface with a recess defined by a first centering surface to center the container on a valve cup of an identical container, on top of which the container may be placed, a second support surface for supporting the container on the valve cup, and a third recessed surface to house the stem of an aerosol valve of the further container.

Abstract: An aerosol spray cap 1 is discussed, which comprises two separate pieces, those of a base member 10 and a rotatable twist ring 20. The base member 10 is formed as a single cast piece for removably attaching to the top of an aerosol canister, and provides an actuator button which is integrated with the fluid passageway. This integrated fluid passageway and actuator button 11 interacts with the fluid out pipe of the aerosol canister, and so allows actuation of the aerosol. The rotatable twist ring, provides a means whereby the movement of the integrated fluid passageway and actuator button 11 is prohibited, thereby locking the operation of the aerosol.

Abstract: Assembly (10) consisting of a dispensing valve (11) for dispensing pressurized fluids, and a pouch (12) of flexible film material in fluid-tight connection therewith, which is placeable in an outer container (15) through an opening (14) therein that is sealable by a cover (13), the dispensing valve (11) having a valve body (18) which is mountable fluid-tightly at the edge (16) of a cover opening (17) formed in the container cover (13), to which valve body (18) an outlet tube (20) extending through a pouch opening (19) is able to make fluid-tight connection. The outlet tube (20) has a disc-shaped, especially cylindrical-cap-shaped, widened portion (21) extending around the pouch opening (19) inside the pouch (12). The pouch (12) is supported against the widened portion (21) of the outlet tube (20), with the intermediate arrangement of an annular disc (22) that bounds the pouch opening (19).

Abstract: A valve (14) is connected to a fluid filled and pressurized container for discharging the fluid (15). A valve body (16) is fixed within a container lid (13). An ascending pipe (21) projects into the container and is connected to a discharge tube (18) which projects into the container lid. An atomizer cap (23) is engaged by a catch mechanism to the circumferential edge (28) of the container lid (13). The cap includes an atomizer nozzle (22) coupled to the discharge tube (18) and oriented approximately perpendicular to the long axis of the container. At the circumferential edge (28) of the container lid (13) there is formed at least one projection (32), which cooperates with a complementary recess on the inner circumferential surface of the atomizer cap (23) in order to achieve a rotationally stable fixation of the latter to the container lid (13), with the nozzle 22 located in accordance with the location of the end of pipe (21) within the container.

Abstract: The invention relates to a spray cap for aerosol containers comprising an integrally formed housing (1) comprising an actuating button (2) and an actuating lever (3), both flexibly connected to the housing (1). The actuating button (2) has a drive hook (18), which moves into interaction with a drive projection (19) disposed on the actuating lever (3) when the actuating button (2) is firstly moved radially and then axially. Due to the combined movements required for actuating the aerosol container, unauthorised use is to the greatest extent excluded. The actuating button (2) and actuating lever (3) are so designed that, via a recess (16) provided in the actuating button (2), the latter can be moved axially downwards without the drive hook (18) engaging with the drive projection (19) of the actuating lever.

Abstract: A dispensing module for use in the dispensing of pressurized liquids, foams, gels or the like comprises the combination of a dispenser valve (12) and a flexible bag (24) which is bonded thereto. The bag (24) is intended to be located within an outer container (22) by way of an opening (23) in the latter that can be closed with a lid (25). Disposed within the bag (24) is a delivery nozzle (58) that can be connected to the valve body (14) of the dispenser valve (12) through the bag material with the interposition of a sealing ring (32) in such a way that between the interior (52) of the bag and the valve body (14) fluid communication is maintained. The delivery nozzle (58) and/or the valve body (14) is made of a material that is fracture-proof and in particular not permeable to organic media.

Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing a semifluid medium, in particular a pasty mass such as cream, gel or the like, comprises a container with a dispensing valve. The dispensing valve comprises a delivery tube that can be displaced, for example into the interior of the container and/or tilted about its long axis, against the action of a resilient means such as a spring. The delivery tube is coupled to an actuator defining an annular channel in such a way that the annular channel is in fluid communication with the delivery tube. The annular channel is closed by an annular closure flap which when opened under the pressure of the medium contained in the container defines an annular gap through which the medium can be discharged.
