    Abstract: A method and a device are provided for categorizing a Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) receiver terminal (120) as a malicious SCTP receiver terminal, which generates spoofed optimistic SCTP selective acknowledgement (SACK) packet for exploiting a SCTP transmitter terminal as a flood source for Denial-of-Service attacks. The SCTP receiver terminal (120) generates data enriched SCTP SACK packets (170). Each data enriched SCTP SACK packet comprises a cumulative payload essence of all successfully received data packets (200). The SCTP transmitter terminal (110) performs a data enriched SACK validation in which it computes the cumulative payload essence of all successfully transmitted data packets (200), and compares the computed value with the cumulative payload essence contained in the received data enriched SACK. The SCTP transmitter terminal detects a spoofed optimistic SACK packet if the comparison results in a difference.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel formulation, comprising Anacardic acid or its derivatives and phytohormones (1-NAA and GA3), which promotes the increase in fiber yield and improvement in fiber quality. The in-vitro ovule culture assay was used to check the effect of formulation on initiation and development of cotton fiber. Increased initiation and length of cotton fibers was observed in the cultured ovules treated with the formulation which were validated by biochemical assays. The formulation was applied directly onto the at least 70 plants of Gossypium hirsutum genotypes in three replicates with control plants treated with phytohormones only. The formulation was applied by spraying on buds, flowers and bolls. The treated plants show significant increase in boll weight, fiber length, fineness and fiber strength. Thus, the formulation may serve as an important plant growth stimulator leading to the increase in fiber yield and improvement in fiber quality in cotton plants.

    Abstract: Polypyrrole/carbon (PPy/C) composite doped with organic anion p-toluenesulfonate (pTS) is utilized as an electrode in supercapacitor for energy storage application. The surface initiated in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization yields a composite material PPy/C in the presence of varying concentrations of pTS. The novelty of the present invention lies in the doping of PPy/C composite with organic anion pTS and consequent enhancement of its electrochemical activity and stability. The conjugation length and electrical conductivity of pTS doped PPy/C composites increase with the increase in dopant concentration. The pTS doped PPy/C composite synthesized using equimolar concentration (0.1 M) of pTS to pyrrole shows the maximum specific capacitance of ˜395 F/g in 0.5 M Na2SO4 aqueous solution with significant stability ˜95% capacitance retention after ˜500 cycles.

The process for the production of microbial cellulose by this bacterium was optimized and thus, an efficient and economic process for producing high titers of microbial cellulose was developed. Further, a novel and improved method for drying of microbial cellulose has been developed wherein the microbial cellulose mats were dried using a wooden plank and porous fabric as a base at room temperature. The microbial cellulose production was successfully scaled up to 5 liters volume of production medium in trays. The present invention also recites the production and optimization of microbial cellulose in different shapes and sizes (gloves and vessels) which will be of great help for burn and injured persons/patients.
