    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel DNA aptamers capable of binding gelsolin tightly and specifically. The invention further relates to the use of these aptamers to estimate the gelsolin levels in a given sample and purify bulk quantities of tagless gelsolin and its variants. The present invention thus eliminates the use of different animals/their tissues to produce gelsolin binding proteins, which are much more expensive and socially unacceptable methods as opposed to the synthesis of a DNA molecule by in vitro PCR. Using this strategy, bulk production of the gelsolin binding matrix can be carried out at much lower cost. Also, the aptamers can be used to block binding of gelsolin to its binding partners for diagnostic and/or therapeutic applications.

Variable sites on scaffolds with attachment sites on building blocks participate in a combinatorial virtual reaction to generate a set of new virtual molecules. This process is time consuming and demands more storage space and is tedious to exchange data digitally. There is practically no quick way to sample molecules without enumerating the virtual library. Therefore, the present invention discloses a method of 10 encoding a virtual library of large scale molecular data into a single barcode. The present invention further discloses a method of decoding the barcode containing large scale data molecules.

    Abstract: A process of depositing zirconium oxide (ZrO2) layers possessing dual properties of anti-reflection and passivation of silicon surfaces, including passivation of n-type and p-type silicon substrates. To grow a ZrO2 anti-reflection passivation layer, a precursor layer of zirconium oxide is spun on a silicon surface then dried, pyrolyzed and fired at suitable contact firing conditions, avoiding additional deposition. Thermal annealing in a hydrogen environment improves passivation quality of ZrO2 layer to a level 3-4 times higher than that of fired films alone. ZrO2 dielectric passivation layers exhibit improved passivation quality after illumination due to photo-enhanced passivation and higher passivation quality at higher thermal budget suitable for screen printed metal contact firing, unlike standard PECVD deposited passivation layers. The method is adaptable for fabrication of silicon solar cells and other structures utilizing passivated layers.

The SCTP transmitter terminal detects a spoofed optimistic SACK packet if the comparison results in a difference.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel formulation, comprising Anacardic acid or its derivatives and phytohormones (1-NAA and GA3), which promotes the increase in fiber yield and improvement in fiber quality. The in-vitro ovule culture assay was used to check the effect of formulation on initiation and development of cotton fiber. Increased initiation and length of cotton fibers was observed in the cultured ovules treated with the formulation which were validated by biochemical assays. The formulation was applied directly onto the at least 70 plants of Gossypium hirsutum genotypes in three replicates with control plants treated with phytohormones only. The formulation was applied by spraying on buds, flowers and bolls. The treated plants show significant increase in boll weight, fiber length, fineness and fiber strength. Thus, the formulation may serve as an important plant growth stimulator leading to the increase in fiber yield and improvement in fiber quality in cotton plants.
