Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage media, are provided for facilitating group communications. The described embodiments provide a group chat application allowing a user to send multiple types of messages, including decision messages (or interactive message), to one or more group chat recipients. The decision messages may include a question, a number of answer options, and a time limit for response. Such messages may be displayed in a group chat feed to allow group participants to submit responses by selecting or ranking the answer options. Results may be determined from the submitted responses and displayed to the sender of a decision message.
