Abstract: The present disclosure provides a computerized method for assigning items to pickers including: determining a priority of an ordered item; inserting the item into an ordered data structure based on the priority of the item; iteratively, for items in the ordered data structure: determining an item physical location corresponding to a first unassigned item in the ordered data structure; determining a plurality of picker physical locations corresponding to locations of user devices of pickers; calculating a plurality of distances between the item physical location and picker physical locations among the plurality of picker physical locations; assigning the first unassigned item by: identifying a closest picker corresponding to a shortest distance of the plurality of distances; selecting the identified picker; correlating the first unassigned item with the selected picker in a data structure; and sending information of the item and physical location to the user device of the picker.

The steps may include blending the received plurality of customer calls and the received plurality of customer chat sessions into a total queue for presentation to at least one user device. Further, the method may include generating an invalidation command, indicating the change in the corresponding data entry. The method may include transmitting the invalidation command from the first remote server to the message server. The method may include generating, by the message server, a plurality of partitions based on the received invalidation command. The method may include transmitting, from the message server to each of the remote servers, the plurality of partitions, so that the remote servers update their respective local caches.

A method reducing disk storage and network latency comprises receiving customer data of a customer to store in a database, conditioning the customer data, and formatting the conditioned customer data into first and second data strings respectively having a first data type and a second data type. The method further comprises flipping a sign bit of the first data string, encoding the sign-bit-flipped first data string and second data string into serialized data by representing every two digits of the first string with one byte, and flipping all bits of the serialized data if the received customer data is represented by a negative value. The method further comprises storing the serialized data in the database if negative, receiving a request for the customer data, deserializing serialized data to be retrieved from the database, and retrieving the deserialized data from the database.

A method for managing inventory comprises receiving, from a mobile device, a request for one or more validation locations, a zone for performing a validation, a validation type, and a round of validation, retrieving validation locations, each location associated with a status of not assigned, assigned, problem zone, or validated, and determining which of the retrieved validation locations needing assignment have a location in the received zone, a match in the validation type, and a match round of validation. Based on the determination, the method further comprises selecting one or more of the matching validation locations if a status of each determined validation locations is equal to not assigned and responding to the received request by transmitting one or more selected validation locations to the mobile device.
