  • Patent number: 5390703
Abstract: A valve for a pipe system wherein liquid circulates is intended to be controlled dependent on the liquid temperature within the system by means of a thermostat adapted to actuate an electro magnet which, on its part, dependent on whether it is current-carrying or not, is adapted to retain the valve spindle in a position corresponding to open or closed valve position, respectively. The valve housing has plate-shaped seat body having a large central through-going flow opening and a number of smaller corresponding openings closer to the circumference. A spring-loaded first valve body is displaceably arranged on the spindle and cooperates with the central opening of the seat body in order to close/open the opening, a concentrical, spring-loaded hollow piece constituting a second valve body which also is displaceably arranged on the spindle cooperating with the peripheric openings via an annular flange portion in order to close/open the last-mentioned openings.

  • Patent number: 5330775
Abstract: A liquid food product, such as a soup or sauce, is treated by first sterilizing it, e.g. by UHT processing, and then introducing into it a minor amount, e.g. 5 to 15 vol. %, of a non-sterile component, e.g. a dairy product, substantially free of all micro-organisms liable to cause disease. The non-sterile component will cause evident harmless spoilage of the product after a given period of storage, so that the consumer will be obliged to discard the product before any harmful bacteria have grown.

  • Patent number: 5303897
Abstract: There is provided a valve damper which is pivotally suspended and may in its closing position cooperate with a seat, e.g., formed in a ventilating channel, and wherein an annular seal may be placed on the damper and/or seat. In order to achieve a smoke-tight closure of the damper, the latter is connected to a pivot shaft via resilient carriers, the attachment points thereof on the damper being displaced in relation to the axis of the pivot shaft.
