Abstract: A powered stapling device includes an adapter assembly that includes an outer tube, a shifter mechanism, an articulation gear, and a rotate gear. The rotate gear is secured to the outer tube such that rotation of the rotate gear causes rotation of the outer tube. The shifter mechanism includes a shifter shaft that supports a shifter gear. The shifter shaft is movable to move the shifter gear between a rotate position in which rotation of the articulation gear causes rotation of the rotate gear and the outer tube and an articulate position in which the shifter gear prevents or locks rotation of the rotate gear and the outer tube.

  • Patent number: 12697020
Abstract: A video laryngoscope system acquires images that can, in embodiments, be recorded and stored in a memory of the video laryngoscope. In an embodiment, the video laryngoscope can be operated in an automatic recording mode, and the acquired images are recorded automatically with no further user input and stored in a memory of the video laryngoscope. If the video laryngoscope is paired to a wireless hub, the acquired images are automatically transferred to the wireless hub in response to a power off user input. Other recording modes may use manual inputs to initiate recording and storing of the acquired images.

  • Patent number: 12688922
Abstract: A hand-held antenna system allows medical personnel to ascertain the presence or absence of objects (e.g., medical supplies) tagged with transponders in an environment in which medical procedures are performed. In use, the hand-held antenna system may be positioned proximate a patient at a time after a medical procedure, such as after child birth, so the system can scan the patient's body to determine the presence of objects tagged with transponders. The antenna system includes three antenna elements arranged mutually orthogonal to each other to transmit and receive signals in three coordinate directions. A controller is coupled to the antenna elements to transmit signals to the transponders and to receive response signals. The antenna system may operate in a static scan mode wherein the antenna system is held in a fixed position by a user and a dynamic scan mode wherein the antenna system is moved by a user.
