  • Patent number: 11601288
Abstract: A secure connection to a router web UI is provided. In one implementation, responsive to a client request to securely connect to a router web server (RWS), the RWS generates and sends a certificate signing request (CSR) to a remote-security certificate server (R-SCS). Upon validation of the RWS, the R-SCS signs and transmits a router web UI certificate (RWUIC) to the RWS to present to the client. In another implementation, the router includes a local-SCS (L-SCS) that periodically obtains a short-lived intermediate certification authority (ICA) certificate from the R-SCS. Responsive to a client request for secure access to the RWS, the RWS generates and sends a CSR to the L-SCS for the RWUIC. The L-SCS signs the RWUIC and passes the ICA certificate and RWUIC to the RWS, which presents the certificate(s) to the client. Upon validation of the certificate(s), a secure channel between the client and RWS is established.

  • Publication number: 20230067617
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting the location of objects using a network of internet of things (IoT) sensors (“tracking devices”). The tracking devices may be capable of determining location information (for example, through GPS signals) and may communicate this information to a central server. However, in some cases, a tracking device may be unable to communicate with the central server using a long-range communication network. The tracking device may also be unable to ascertain its own location. In such situations, other tracking devices may communicate with the tracking device over short-range signals, determine the location of the tracking device, and relay this information to the central server.

  • Patent number: 11575968
Abstract: Information about and access to available third party content are provided via a primary service provider programming guide. A primary service provider may allow its customers/subscribers to access third party content through the systems of the primary service provider upon selection of a given third party content item from the primary service provider programming guide. The third party content may be provided as a full screen overlay over content presently being displayed and viewed from the primary service provider, or the third party content may be provided via a picture-in-picture inset either on the full screen or inside the displayed programming guide. Third party content offered via the primary service provider programming guide may be based on a recommendation of content in view of preferences and profile information for the customer/subscriber.

  • Patent number: 11523193
Abstract: This disclosure describes, among other things, an Optical Communications Module Link Extender (OCML) including embedded Ethernet and PON amplification rather than relying on a separate amplification module for Ethernet and/or PON signals transmitted through the OCML. Providing an OCML that is able to provide the appropriate amplification to transmit both Ethernet and PON signals may be accomplished by using one or more Raman pumps on the signals transmitted in the upstream direction through the OCML (for example, upstream from one or more customer devices to one or more OLTs for PON signals. This OCML configuration may allow for a more cost-effective and efficient system with a smaller footprint than a system that relies on external amplification modules to transmit Ethernet or PON signals.

  • Patent number: 11509599
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for enabling quantum computing at an edge node of a network. For example, a machine learning component residing on each of a plurality of edge nodes of the network may be implemented to distribute application processing by network location and processing type, including distribution among classical processing at a central cloud, classical processing at an edge node, and quantum processing at a quantum edge node including a quantum computing device. By distributing certain applications, such as latency-sensitive applications of a higher order of complexity, to an edge node, and particularly a quantum edge node, latency may be reduced and complex application code may be processed more quicky using quantum computations. For applications to be processed using quantum processing, the machine learning component may further identify qubits for the quantum processing and define containers based on the qubits for deployment by the quantum computing device.

  • Patent number: 11509498
Abstract: Optimized automated access network connectivity is provided. A network connecting device (NCD) may perform an optimized access network setup process upon boot-up to connect to an access network. The optimized process may be determined by a cloud-based machine-learning system based on learned connecting and network usage behaviors. The optimized process may include a sequence of network connectivity evaluations configured to minimize the setup time associated with discovering and connecting to an access network. The optimized process may further reduce or eliminate the probability of device failure due to an erroneous access network implementation by establishing communications with a test server prior to committing an access operating mode to non-volatile memory. The NCD may be configured to modify the device's master configuration settings to include the optimized process such that when a master reset is performed, the device may utilize the optimized process to discover and connect to the access network.
