Abstract: Disclosed is a calendar service which operates on multiple devices, including mobile devices and personal computers, which works with a server which can update or synchronize calendars across multiple 3rd party calendar servers, which can change the amount of calendar data displayed depending on the zoom level of the display, which facilitates display of weekend days together, which can display a 2×2 grid of two days (horizontally) across two successive weeks (vertically), which 2×2 grid can be shifted up or down to traverse weeks or right or left to traverse days, which enables family members to quickly find and communicate free time, and which can display days in a week with a continuous vertical scroll.

Abstract: A system and method for generating collections of media are provided. A media collage is constructed such that all its contained media, such as digital images, are selected and organized according to an associated characteristic. Sequential media collages can be generated by the same selection and organization approach.

Abstract: A method and system is provided to dynamically update the calendar display as the user is typing a new appointment in the appointment entry area so that the user can see where the appointment will be added. In addition, the user can see where an appointment will be added by default if they fail to specify a specific date/time or date/time range in the appointment text, and can indicate a desired default date by pointing to the calendar display.
