Abstract: A radome wall structure includes one or more laminate plies, a first syntactic foam layer on one side of the one or more laminate plies, and a second syntactic foam layer on the other side of the one or more laminate plies. One or more laminate plies are between a third outer syntactic foam layer and the first syntactic foam layer and one or more laminate plies are between a fourth inner syntactic foam layer and the second syntactic foam layer. An interior matching layer is adhered to the fourth inner syntactic foam layer.
Abstract: A lightweight multiband, high angle sandwich radome structure for millimeter wave frequencies includes a central core layer, a reinforced laminate skin adjacent each side of the central core, and outer matching layers on each of the reinforced laminates.
Abstract: A multi-band, broadband, high angle, sandwich radome structure including a structural layer; a first inside matching layer adjacent to one side of the structural layer; an outside matching layer adjacent to the other side of the structural layer; and a second inside matching layer for increasing broadband microwave and millimeter wave frequency transparency.
