  • Patent number: 5799462
Abstract: A method of manufacturing composite structural building panels for floors, walls and roofs with the components for securing adjacent panels to each other built into the interior of each panel and serving as a structural component and an optional interlocking component at the same time. The panels attain extreme values of structural integrity, insulation, sound attenuation, air/vapor impermeability and moisture resistance. The panels are non out gassing while having a zero flame spread and are virtually free from deterioration while remaining lightweight and economical. By insertion of optional strut members during manufacturing, the resulting structural values of the panel is drastically increased. The panels are composed of two offset and opposing face frames that each separately lock together within themselves by temporary frictional engagement or puncture crimp.
