Abstract: An undercut saw including a housing, a motor within said housing, a drive shaft rotated by said motor, and a blade mount mechanically linked to said shaft such that a circular saw blade mounted on said mount is rotated when the motor rotates the drive shaft. A fixed blade guard circumscribes a portion of the blade and allows selectable height adjustment of the blade. A stabilization bar on the fixed blade guard may be extended to make the device more stable. On the underside of the fixed blade guard a dust channel allows dust to be swept by the rotating blade into a dust port. The dust channel allows positioning of the dust port away from the leading edges of the fixed blade guard.

Extending at a 45 degree angle through the block is a staple slot bore having a staple slot width. A rod is insertable into the bore and has a first end acting as a hammering head to receive an impact force and a second end configured to receive a staple head and transfer the force.

Abstract: A tool for driving a floor staple including an outer tubular body and a rod insertable into the tubular body. The tubular body has an end tip having angled surfaces and an inner bore. The rod is biased with the inner bore. The inner bore has a staple slot allowing an exposed end a staple to fit within the outer tubular body. The rod has a hammering head, which when struck, drives staple into a flooring plank.

The carpet stretching tool is the type having a carpet engaging head, an elongate body, a tail section and a lever mechanism allowing extension of the elongate body. The tail section includes a first leg and a second leg, each leg having a wall running face. The legs may be selectively positioned between at least two positions. In one positions the wall running faces form a substantially flat surface allowing use of the tool down a wall section. In a second position the wall running faces on the first and second leg of the tool may be positioned at an angle to allow the tool to be used on corner locations within a room or on a post.

The handle of the tool extends through an opening hole in the top of the case. The tool's handle may be gripped to roll the tool over a surface, reducing the needed size of the tool case. Wheels on the bottom of one of the two sections allow the case to roll.

A blade holder holding a pair of blades and including a blade holding face and a wall runner is inserted between two of the spacers, such that the posts fit into groove on the blade holding face. Throat adjustment holes on said spacers receive dimples on the blade holder to allow throat adjustment.

Abstract: A toe kick saw including a driver having a safety feature to allow a saw blade to disengage during experience of increased torque. The toe kick saw driver may include a one or two piece driver that engages the saw blade that is able to yield by deforming when the blade experiences an increase in torque sufficient to cause kickback. Alternatively the toe kick saw could include a yieldable spindle extension.

Abstract: A toe-kick saw including a rear or front toe-kick wall guide. The toe-kick saw includes a motor contained within said housing, a spindle on the motor, a spindle extension linked to the spindle, a blade mount secured to the spindle extension and a fixed blade guard secured at the end of the spindle extension. The fixed blade guard includes features to enhance safety during tool misuse, such as a rear toe space bumper, a front toe space bumper, primary and secondary blade guards, and a rearward leaning spike. The larger fixed blade guard allows use of a dust port on this tool.

Abstract: A carpet trimmer comprises a base plate with first slots. Underlying the base plate is a post holder with upstanding threaded posts protruding through the first slots of the base plate. Overlying the base plate is a blade holder that engages the posts for movement with the post holder. A wall guide is formed from the blade holder by bending downwardly in spaced relation to the working edge of the base plate. A first indent is formed on the bottom surface of the blade holder at the junction between the wall guide and the blade holder. The blade holder has a first blade holding recess with a second slot exposed when a blade is in place. A notch on a blade-supporting strip attached on the inner wall of the wall guide, the inner wall, and the first indent forms a second blade holding recess. The first and second recesses define a blade holding area that has a length longer than the blade's length.

Abstract: A carpet trimmer comprising a base plate with slots directed at right angles to the working edge of the base plate. Underlying the base plate is a post holder with upstanding threaded posts protruding through the slots of the base plate. Overlying the base plate is a blade holder that engages the posts for movement with the post holder. Suitable nuts on the posts lock the post holder and the blade holder in an adjusted position relative to the base plate. A wall guide depends from the blade holder in spaced relation to the working edge of the base plate to define a passageway for a carpet edge to be trimmed by blades on the blade holder. When the nuts are loosened, the posts can be moved within the slots of the base plate toward or away from the working edge of the base plate. In so doing, the post holder and the blade holder move therewith. This action adjusts the distance between the working edge of the base plate and the wall guide to accommodate different thicknesses of carpets.
