Patent number: 6528002Abstract: A seating cushion for use as a seat bottom, back, headrest, arm or the like in a seating product. The seating cushion comprises an outer enclosure formed of a relatively durable and inert polymer and a resilient inner pad fitted within the enclosure. The outer enclosure is preformed of a three dimensional unitary polymeric wall configured to receive the inner pad so as to cover the top, sides and at least a portion of the bottom of the pad. The preformed enclosure may be used in place of conventional upholstery in most seating products. The wall of the enclosure is generally thicker than conventional upholstery material so as to provide durability and structure, but is sufficiently thin and flexible to enable the user to feel the comfort of the pad disposed within the enclosure. The enclosure is preferably formed of polyurethane molded in a two-sided mold to provide a three dimensional enclosure of controlled thickness.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2000Date of Patent: March 4, 2003Assignees: Cramer, Inc., Meramec Group, Inc.Inventors: John D. Patent number: 4718156Abstract: A filter assembly for an exhaust stack having a housing defining an interior chamber and an inlet and an outlet which are connected in series with the exhaust stack. A mounting frame is secured diagonally within the interior of the housing so that the mounting frame is interposed between the inlet and outlet of the housing. A plurality of filter elements are detachably secured to the mounting frame so that influent into the housing inlet passes through the filter elements prior to exhaust out through the housing outlet and to the atmosphere. The filter assembly is easily retrofitted to existing systems by severing and removing a portion of the stack and installing the filter assembly in its place.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1986Date of Patent: January 12, 1988Assignee: Dee Cramer, Inc.Inventor: James Cole

Patent number: 4479627Abstract: A chair height adjustment mechanism selectively positions a seat section relative to a base and is situated between a barrel attached to the chair base and a threaded spindle extending downwardly from the seat section and telescopically received within the barrel. The adjustment mechanism includes an adjusting nut assembly receiving the spindle and extending between the barrel and spindle. A spring urges the nut assembly toward engagement with a detent member connected to the barrel. When the seat section is occupied, the spring is compressed and the nut disengages from the detent member, and the spindle and nut rotate together as the seat section swivels. When the seat section is unoccupied, the spring urges the nut into interlocking engagement with the detent member, and the spindle rotates relative to the nut as the seat section swivels in order to cause the seat section and spindle to adjust upwardly and downwardly depending on the direction of seat rotation relative to the base and barrel.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1983Date of Patent: October 30, 1984Assignee: Cramer Inc.Inventor: Robert L.
