Patent number: 6045520Abstract: A splint to splint injured parts of a body. The splint includes three rigid members one pair of which are joined together by a hinged joint and a second pair of which are joined by a pivot joint. The hinge joint and the pivot joint each include a locking mechanism that allows the user to select from plurality of numerous positions and thereafter lock each of the joints in a selected position. The splint is used to fix a particular body part in a selected position which may require the members to be hinged with respect to each other, pivoted with respect to each other, or both.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1998Date of Patent: April 4, 2000Assignee: Cramer Products, Inc.Inventor: Stephen P. Patent number: 5928173Abstract: A turf toe brace includes a flexible boot adapted for snugly anchoring the brace to a foot of a user, an elongate generally non stretchable strap releasably joinable in a multiplicity of configurations to the boot by a fastening mechanism and a toe loop. The toe loop is joined to the strap opposite the boot. In use the strap passes under the foot and is connected to at least one side of the boot in such a manner as to pull downwardly on the great toe and help prevent hyper-extension of the great toe, especially during work or athletic events.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1997Date of Patent: July 27, 1999Assignee: Cramer Products, Inc.Inventor: Gregory J. Patent number: 4657003Abstract: Immobilizing device for restraining a body portion or limb, comprising an air impervious pliant bag, e.g. of urethane coated nylon fabric, a plurality of lightweight expanded beads, e.g. polystyrene beads, preferably of relatively uniform large size of a diameter greater than 5 mm placed within the bag, and a self-closing valve communicating with the interior of the bag for evacuating air therefrom. The beads are free to be moved and accumulate in those areas where support is most needed. When the interior of the bag is evacuated, the beads are compacted by the collapsing bag and deformed into a rigid construction around the body member for support and restraint thereof. The bag is shaped to completely surround the body member to be supported and releasable strap means preferably are provided to maintain the bag in wrapped position around the body member before and after evacuation.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1986Date of Patent: April 14, 1987Assignee: Cramer Products, Inc.Inventor: H. Patent number: 4313433Abstract: An ankle stabilizer is provided which comprises a flexible jacket, a first strap, a second strap, a first fastener member associated with the first strap and a second fastener member associated with the second strap. The jacket snugly receives a rear portion of a foot and a lower portion of a leg associated with an ankle when the ankle stabilizer is in an operative position. The first and second straps, each have a first end thereof secured to the jacket at a location laterally centered beneath the arch of the foot. The first strap passes over the instep of the foot, wraps around the rear portion of the foot and ends on the medial or inner side of the foot, when in a stabilizing configuration. The first fastening member reusably secures the first strap in the stabilizing configuration thereof.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1979Date of Patent: February 2, 1982Assignee: Cramer Products, Inc.Inventor: Charles W.
