    Abstract: A plurality of thermoplastic articles are superimposed against a support, an infrared transparent solid is superimposed to form a superimposed body and infrared is irradiated to the superimposed body from the side of the infrared transparent solid. For the irradiation source, an Er: YAG laser or fiber laser is used. The interface temperature of the thermoplastic article becomes relatively lower and a high temperature region can be developed within the superimposed body due to the infiltration of laser energy. As a result, degradation of the surface configuration due to thermal damages in the infrared irradiation side surface layer of the thermoplastic articles can be suppressed.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a novel measurement method for system parameters of a 5-port junction used in a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). A VNA is a device for measuring amplitude ratios and phase differences (S-parameters: scattering matrix elements) between incident waves and reflected waves of a DUT (Device Under Test), or between input waves and transmitted waves. What has been newly discovered is that for 5 ports, S-parameters can be expressed by a linear coupling using H and power difference ratios ({P(S)/P(0)}?1). It is possible to easily calculate parameter H using a minimum of three already known standards, and amount of calculation can be reduced compared to conventionally.

The LDWS includes a camera that captures road images and the data of images is sent to an electronic control unit (ECU) for processing and recognition. The ECU is directly connected with a global positioning system (GPS) that provides vehicle speed signals so as to check whether dangerous driving occurs. Once the dangerous driving occurs, a warning unit is turned on to send an alert. The conventional LDWS that complicatedly connects with vehicles parts such as turn signal lights or speedometers is replaced by connection with a GPS. Thus the convenience of installation of LDWS in vehicles is improved.
