Abstract: A system for the softening or other treatment of fabric articles is provided which comprises a vented bag comprising a fastening system and flexible sheet releasably impregnated with an effective amount of a liquid fabric-treatment composition.
Abstract: This invention relates to dry-cleaning systems which include anhydrous dry-cleaning compositions which contain polysulfonic acid, and a bag for the cleaning and containment of soiled fabric articles. In a first embodiment, the dry-cleaning compositions includes organic solvents, polysulfonic acid, and not more than about 10 wt % water. In a second embodiment, the dry-cleaning compositions includes organic solvents and polysulfonic acid, and not more than 1 about wt % water. The invention also relates to methods of using the dry-cleaning system and dry-cleaning composition.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for applying a plurality, preferably two, of dermatological agents to the skin from a single dispensing and applicator sheet comprising a plurality of discrete areas comprising at least two dermatological agents which are simultaneously released from the sheet and applied to the afflicted skin area when the sheet is rubbed over wet skin.
Abstract: A bag for the cleaning and containment of soiled fabric articles is provided which comprises a fastening system that, when fastened provides a vapor impermeable container and an interior surface releasably impregnated with an effective amount of a gelled liquid dry-cleaning composition.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for applying a plurality of compositions, preferably two, containing a dermatological or other therapeutical agent to the skin from a single dispensing and applicator system. The system has a plurality of compartmentalized applicator pads which may be exposed and sequentially or simultaneously applied to the skin area to be treated. The system is useful for administering separate phases of an occlusive or semi-occlusive film-forming solution for treating pathologies of the skin. When the phases are applied to and dried upon the skin, a polymeric film forms to retain the therapeutical agent in contact with the surface of the skin.
Abstract: A delayed-release composite particle is provided which comprises (a) a core particle comprising an inorganic detergent builder salt and an effective amount of at least one wash additive; and (b) a waxy coating encapsulating said core particle, which coating has a melting point of greater than about 65.degree. C. and which chemically disintegrates in aqueous solution at a temperature of less than about 65.degree. C. and a pH of above about 9.0.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a package for containing and dispensing a solid article including powders and solid objects, and/or flowable substances such liquids, gels and dispersions. When the ends of the package are forced together, a backing sheet is separated from receptacle units to expose openings through which the contents can be dispensed from interior chambers in the package.
