Abstract: A quick release and snap-together clasp device (10) having a one-piece body frame which includes a main opening (16) for receiving and coacting with a releasable button member (50), the opening (16) also including inwardly extending projections (34,36) for defining a button engaging area. The body is rounded at the bottom (14) to accommodate a round button member (50) having a peripheral groove (60) to be received in the body for holding sheet and film materials. The body also includes an additional opening (40) and a hook (48).
Abstract: Method for preparing an adjustable side view mirror mounting mechanism (40,50,70) for vehicles which includes a conventional mounting support (14) supporting neck (12) and mirror (M). After the neck (12) is cut a desired distance above base (14) the neck stub (23) left on base (14) is removed and a replacement sleeve (70) is substituted. A slidable mirror support block (50) has a slot (64) through which is received bar (40) and which has lock means (56) for securing and releasing the block for slidable movement with respect to the bar. On the top of the block means (50) is a support cavity (55) to receive the shortened neck (12) for supporting the mirror (M). The mounting bar (40) with block (50) is attached to the upper end of sleeve (70) to complete the installation.
Abstract: An adjustable side view mirror assembly (50) which includes a conventional pivotal mounting bracket (20) having an upper generally horizontal support portion (38). An adapter block has two halves (70,72) with matching slots (76) and (74) one above the other. The lower slot (74) is mounted on support portion (38) while the upper slot receives a slide bar (90). The mirror (22) is mounted at the outer end (92) of the slide bar (90) while stop means (96) are located at the inner end (94) to prevent the bar from sliding on through. A threadable member (102) locks the slide bar in the desired position.
