Abstract: Switching from delivering a first video signal to a sink to delivering a second video signal to the sink is carried out. A repeater, connected to a previously authenticated sink, receives the first video signal outputted by a previously authenticated first source, and delivers the first video signal to the sink. The repeater receives a command to switch from the first video signal to the second video signal outputted by a second source. The repeater terminates receiving the first video signal, and delivers a temporary video signal to the sink so that the sink remains authenticated while the second source is being authenticated. The repeater sets the frame rate of the temporary video signal to a minimum variable refresh rate (VRR) supported by the sink. Upon completion of authentication of the second source, the repeater receives the second video signal and delivers the signal to the sink.

Abstract: A mounting bracket holds electronic device modules having various sizes and shapes. The mounting bracket includes a mounting plate. An adjustable clamp includes a fixed part attached to the mounting plate, and a movable part that is movable to any spacing from the mounting plate within a preset range and is securable anywhere within the preset range. The adjustable clamp holds an electronic device module against the mounting plate. A movable slat moves along the mounting plate to any distance from the fixed part within a fixed range and is securable to the mounting plate anywhere within the fixed range. The movable slat holds the electronic device module against the fixed part. The mounting bracket therefore holds electronic device modules of various sizes and shapes upon the electronic device module having a thickness within a range of thicknesses and a height within a range of heights.

  • Patent number: 12178004
Abstract: An apparatus cools electronic circuitry. A housing has surfaces configured to enclose the electronic circuitry and are mountable inside a cavity in a back box. At least one of the surfaces has a vent holes therein facing an exhaust opening in the back box when the housing is mounted inside the cavity. Another surface has a fan hole that faces an intake opening in the back box when the housing is mounted inside the cavity. A cooling fan is mounted onto the another surface and disposed over the fan hole. The cooling fan is configured to draw cooling air through the intake opening in the back box and the fan hole into the housing and over the electronic circuitry. The cooling air then exits the housing through the vent holes and thereafter exits the back box through the exhaust opening.

  • Publication number: 20240369209
Abstract: Systems, methods, and modes for a modular recessed light fixture and for mounting and aligning thereof. The light fixture comprises a housing supporting a lighting module, a bracket ring located within the housing, and an alignment ring adapted to magnetically attach to the bracket ring through an architectural panel to locate the bracket ring. The alignment ring may comprise an adjustment mechanism that is laterally adjusted within the alignment ring to a desired position. The bracket ring may be adjustable and adapted to laterally travel with respect to the housing such that displacing the alignment ring along the architectural panel, moves the adjustable bracket ring within the housing to a desired position. The housing may comprise a baseplate comprising material capable of being cut such that after locating the bracket ring using the alignment ring an opening is cut through the architectural panel and the housing baseplate.

  • Patent number: 12113780
Abstract: An innovative system for transmitting encrypted 1-bit audio over an Ethernet network comprises using an omni-directional micro-electrical-mechanical system acoustic sensor element to provide an analog input signal to a sigma-delta modulator that then creates a pulse density modulated 1-bit data stream, at an audio oversampling rate, to a first input of a first exclusive-or (XOR) logic gate. The second input of the XOR logic gate is simultaneously presented with a first pseudo-random 1-bit data stream, at the same audio oversampling rate, thereby resulting in an encrypted pulse density modulated (PDM) 1-bit data stream at the output of the XOR logic gate. The encrypted PDM 1-bit data stream is clocked into a first-in first-out (FIFO) memory at the audio oversampling rate and is clocked out of the first FIFO memory as Ethernet PDM frame data packages at a predetermined Ethernet PHY transfer rate.
