Abstract: A switcher device comprises a multiplexer coupled in-between at least one input and output cards. The multiplexer detects the presence of an event signal from an activated sink. In response to the detection of the event signal, a processor changes an address of an HDCP receiver from a first address to a second address for enabling the at least one source to authenticate with the input card and enabling the output card to authenticate with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption. In response to the non-detection of the event signal, the processor changes the address of an HDCP receiver from the second address to the first address for disabling the at least one source from initiating a first authentication with the input card, therefore the output card also does not attempt to initiate a second authentication with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption.

Abstract: A switcher device comprises a multiplexer coupled in-between at least one input and output cards. The multiplexer detects the presence of an event signal from an activated sink. In response to the detection of the event signal, the switch dynamically switches to a closed position in order to enable the at least one source to authenticate with the input card and the output card to authenticate with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption. In response to the non-detection of the event signal, the switch switches dynamically to an open position in order to disable the at least one source from authenticating with the input card, therefore the output card also does not attempt to authenticate with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption.

Abstract: An electromagnetic shield comprises a sheet of metal having slots along an edge of the sheet to form a plurality of resilient fingers. The single sheet is bent around first and second bends axes inwardly and approximately ninety degrees to form a top planar surface and first and second side walls. The single sheet of metal is sized and dimensioned to receive a connector in between the first and second side walls and top planar surface. The fingers are bent outward with a bend radius of approximately 0.020 inches with respect to a flat surface of the sidewalls and top planar surface. The fingers apply a biasing force against a surface of a faceplate. Each of the side walls includes an elongated leg, which is interconnected with a circuit board and each of the elongated legs extends beyond a bottom edge of each of the side walls.

Abstract: A system in which a portable electronic device communicates with an external device to determine a location. Upon determining its location, the portable electronic device transmits this information as well as identifying information to a control processor. The control processor controls one or more controllable devices according to the location and identifying information. The portable electronic device may determine the location via NFC tag or via one or more RF beacons transmitting information according to the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol.

Abstract: A portable electronic device receives broadcasts from one or more RF beacons to determine a location of a user and communicates with a scheduling server to manage the schedule of a conference room. The portable electronic device receives an address and an application identifier from each RF beacon and opens a scheduling application in response. The portable electronic device then communicates with a scheduling server to receive the schedule of the location determined from the beacon broadcasts. The user may reserve the location and set a number of presets through the scheduling application. Updates to the schedule are communicated to the scheduling server from the portable electronic device.

Abstract: Presented is a roller shade system that includes a flexible shade material having a lower end, a rotatably supported roller tube that windingly receives the shade material, a stepper motor that operably engages the roller tube to rotate the roller tube to move the lower end of the shade material between a first position and a second position, an optical sensor configured for capturing an image frame of the shade material at linear positions along the shade material as the lower end of the flexible shade material moves from the first position to the second position, and a stepper motor controller configured for controlling the frequency of input pulses to the stepper motor to move the lower end of the flexible shade material from the first position to the second position at a substantially constant linear velocity in response to position information obtained from the plurality of captured image frames.

Abstract: An electromagnetic gasket comprises a sheet having a plurality of resilient fingers on an outer peripheral. The fingers are bent outward and at least four resilient prongs are bent inward to form a passageway that is sized and dimensioned to receive an RJ45 connector. When the RJ45 connector is inserted through the passageway, the resilient prongs are adapted to urge against top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the RJ45 connector in such a manner to prevent the gasket from disengaging from the RJ45 connector. The plurality of resilient fingers extend outward and beyond the top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the RJ45 connector and are adapted to urge against a surface of a faceplate.
