Patent number: 11984202Abstract: The present disclosure allows remote monitoring of measurements in clinical trials. Clinical trial participant data units received from a client device are accessed. The clinical trial participant data units are set to include a clinical trial diary entry from a clinical trial diary application in the client device and clinical trial measurement samples corresponding to the clinical trial diary entry from a measurement device connected to the client device via a short-range wireless connection. If it is determined that such a data unit lacks any collected clinical trial measurement samples, a wireless connection log is searched for a corresponding connectivity issue entry. If such an entry is found, it is determined that a potential connectivity issue exists and a connectivity correction action is triggered. Otherwise, it is determined that a potential compliance issue exists and a compliance correction action is triggered.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2019Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: CRF BOX OYInventors: Antti Heikkilä, Riku Lehtomäki

Patent number: 10937153Abstract: A method, system, device and computer program product for analyzing absorbent articles (300) are provided. The method includes receiving an image or data representing an image of an absorbent region (302) of an absorbent article. The absorbent region comprises at least one stain (350) caused by a bodily fluid discharge of a person using the absorbent article. The absorbent region includes at least one reference mark (304). A surface area of the stain (350) is computed using the at least one reference mark (304). The computed surface area of the stain (350) is used to determine a volume of bodily fluid contained in the absorbent article (300). The volume of the bodily fluid is analyzed to assess a measure of the bodily fluid discharge of the person.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2017Date of Patent: March 2, 2021Assignee: CRF Box OyInventor: Jerold Grupp

Patent number: 10515717Abstract: A method, device and system for transceiving clinical trial related information includes a client device and a server that communicate. An application of the client device has a client application of a clinical trial service whose server application is running on the server. A coordinator user profile with credentials and a user profile with credentials are maintained. The coordinator credentials are determined to be be authorized. The coordinator user obtains access to the application. Coordinator input data triggers user change for the client device. A request to the server application indicating the triggered user change is sent. Credentials are received from the server application and associated with the user profile. The coordinator user is logged out by disconnecting coordinator level access to the proprietary application and resetting the coordinator credentials and session data within the client device. The credentials are stored for automatic first logging in of the user.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2018Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: CRF BOX OYInventors: Tony Riistaniemi, Jani Veikkolainen

Patent number: 10437438Abstract: An electronic device for layout guidance for localization purposes includes a processor which receives information on a textual element in a source language. The textual element is within a graphical presentation having upper limits in at least a first dimension and a second dimension. The processor determines a space requirement in the first dimension and/or the second dimension for the textual element in a target language, based on the received information on the textual element in the source language and on statistical data related to the source language and the target language and their respective spatial requirements. The processor causes layout guidance to be displayed on a display for the textual element in the target language based on the determined space requirement.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2018Date of Patent: October 8, 2019Assignee: CRF BOX OYInventors: Riku Lehtomäki, Jussi Nykänen

Publication number: 20110225011Abstract: The invention allows authenticating a mobile user of an electronic patient diary effectively, conveniently and securely while keeping costs incurred on the patient to a minimum. Patient-reported data entered by a user and an identifier of the user are received at a patient-reported data collector. The received patient-reported data is stored as non-committed patient-reported data in response to the received identifier being successfully identified. A login request to the patient-reported data collector comprising login identification information of the user is received via a WWW-based service. In response to the user being successfully identified, the user is allowed access to review the stored non-committed patient-reported data, and to subsequently accept and/or reject the validity of the stored non-committed patient-reported data.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2011Publication date: September 15, 2011Applicant: CRF Box OyInventors: Pekka Keskiivari, Rauha Tulkki-Wilke
