Abstract: A method and an apparatus for foaming a refrigeration container (10) for foodstuffs, with a reactive polyurethane mixture injected under vacuum condition into hollow peripheral walls of the refrigeration container (10) enclosed in a foaming cell. The foaming cell includes a bottom table (20) for supporting the refrigeration container (10), side shore panels (16, 17, 18, 19) and an internal shore plug (23) fastened to a closure lid (21), conformed to rest against outer and inner surfaces of the peripheral walls of the refrigeration container (10), and sealing gaskets (40, 43, 44, 45) between contact surfaces of the side shore panels (16, 17, 18, 19), the bottom table (20) and the closure lid (21), to provide an air-tight closable foaming cell connectable to a vacuum source (48).
Abstract: Method and installation for vacuum foaming refrigerator cabinets (11), freezers and the like; the installation comprises a rotary drum (21) supporting a first and at least a second foaming jig (35), selectively actuated to move each foaming jig (35) along a circular path from a bottom position towards an underlying table (26) supporting the cabinets (11) to be closed into foaming jigs (35). A vacuum foaming chamber (41) comprises a bell (42) secured to the rotary drum (21) in correspondence with each foaming jig (35), and a closure cap (43) on a vertically movable table (26) to perform in a vacuum foaming chambers (41), in the bottom position of a bells (42) and the foaming jigs (35).
Abstract: A foaming apparatus for refrigerator cabinets and the like, of the type comprising a foaming jig provided on a frame movable from a lowered position, for loading and unloading the cabinets, to a raised position in which the jig cooperates with a plug member in order to oppose the thrust on the external and internal walls of a refrigerator cabinet during the foaming. The improvement consists in the fact of providing a rotatable plug-holder, revolving on a horizontal axis and provided with angularly spaced plug members each of which can be positioned each time over the foaming jig.
