Abstract: The invention relates to a tongue-and-groove coupling between panels of self-supporting air-conditioning ducts and the like, of the type that is provided in order to establish an optimum fit of the canted edge corresponding to the panels that are coupled in a tongue-and-groove manner, and also, to avoid the air coming into contact with the core of the duct therein. To this end, the panels consist of a core of insulating material complemented by an outer layer and inner layer based on aluminum or some other coating, the juxtaposing canted edge or edge between the panels having an oblique cut in relation to the horizontality or longitudinal intermediate line in the joint between the two panels; the aluminum layer or coating, which determines the inner face of the duct, extending beyond the edge of the panel, and being fixed to the oblique surface that defines the coupling profile.
Abstract: A machine for the production of glassware articles by pressing and blowing molten glass gobs fed from a glass gob feeder, comprises at least a blank mold and a corresponding pressing plunger, mounted at a stationary parison forming station, and four forming stations mounted around a 90.degree. indexed rotary carrier, each comprising a blow head, a neck ring and a blow mold, so as to rotate to a first forming position coinciding with the parison forming station, and to second, third and fourth forming positions spaced 90.degree. from each other, for reheating, blowing, and take out operations.
Abstract: A Shearing apparatus for forming molten glass gobs from a continuous flow of molten glass provided by a feeder, has a single shear blade mounted on an axis parallel to the axis of feeding of the flow of molten glass; and a drive for imparting a rotatory movement to the blade in coincidence with the flow of molten glass in order to cut the flow into separate molten glass gobs.
Abstract: An article transfer mechanism to transfer glass articles between a receiving position and a delivering position, in straight line, between one or various sections of a process of manufacture of glass articles. The mechanism includes a frame. Guide shafts attached to said frame. A sliding support attached at said guide bars. A first planetary transmission coupled between said drive means and the sliding support, which through of a rotational movement of the transmission, the sliding support is moved in a straight line, with a backward-forward movement over said guide bars. A second planetary transmission coupled to said first planetary transmission, through the sliding support to generate a far larger stroke of the transfer mechanism.

Abstract: An apparatus for loading and unloading glass articles from an article cutting machine where the glass remainders of the said glass articles are removed during the manufacturing process. Said apparatus comprising: a supporting structure with a vertical shaft; means of rotating transference that are attached in axial coincidence with the said vertical shaft in order to hold and transport the articles; cams attached to the vertical shaft, wherein said transference means are placed in order to determine, through the cams the path that must be imparted to the said transference means; and drive means attached to the said transference means in order to make them rotate in a predetermined time relationship, at the stations positions of reception, feeding and delivery of articles.

Abstract: A process and machine, as a separate or integral part of a process and machine for manufacturing glassware, plastic or similar articles, adapted for the specific purpose of simultaneously cutting off excess ends of hollow glass, plastic or similar articles such as tubes enlarged at their mid-portion, comprising means for rotationally supporting the mid-portion of said articles either vertically or horizontally; thermal, electromagnetic or mechanical cutting means movable into and out of cutting relation with the excess ends of the article, rotatable grippers synchronized with the supporting means for rotationally gripping one or both excess ends during cutting of same and being adapted to exert a slight outward axial force at a predetermined rate on said excess ends until the cutting action is completed, and to release the excess ends to gravitate to a scrap collector before or after removal of the finished article.
