    Abstract: An article of eyewear includes a frame. The frame includes a front frame defining a left aperture and a right aperture. The frame also includes a left temple arm and a right temple arm. The left temple arm is supported by the front frame and the right temple arm is supported by the front frame. The frame further includes an accessory attachment opening adapted to detachably receive an accessory. The accessory attachment opening extends through a portion of the frame in a thickness direction. The accessory attachment opening includes an open side adapted to facilitate ingress and egress of the accessory from the accessory attachment opening in a direction substantially perpendicular to the thickness direction.

    Abstract: According to embodiments of the invention, a precursor sheet is formed by injecting an EVA-based material into a mold cavity. The mold cavity is configured to create a series of indentations through a first portion of the precursor sheet and into a second portion of the precursor sheet. The precursor sheet is removed from the mold cavity and the second portion of the precursor sheet is removed from the first portion of the precursor sheet to create an isolated sheet with a series of through-holes. The isolated sheet is then formed into a portion of a shoe.

A pneumatic pressure differential is applied to the sheet to displace the sheet toward the base portion and shape the sheet against the base portion. The sheet is coupled to the base portion. Excess material is removed from the sheet such that a remainder of the sheet defines a portion of the article of footwear.
