  • Patent number: 6994273
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine which includes an axially moveable needle-like injection valve member 10 mounted in a tubular housing 2. A control element 22 with a control passage 25 is mounted in the upper end portion of the housing, and a valve element 21, 41, 46 is mounted for movement below the control element. A control chamber 20 is formed below the valve element, and a control piston 18 which is formed at the upper end of the valve member 10 bounds the lower side of the control chamber. A throttle passage 26, 42, 47 in the valve element is connected via a throttle constriction between the control passage 25 in the control element 22 and the control chamber 20. A throttle inlet 33, which is formed in the valve element 21 or in a sleeve 19 which laterally bounds the control chamber, is connected between a high pressure chamber 9 in the housing and the control chamber 20 without passage through an intermediate throttle point.

  • Patent number: 6892967
Abstract: The control space of the fuel injection valve is delimited, on the one hand, by the piston of the injection-valve member, on the other hand by the slide-valve body and circumferentially by the sleeve. Both the double-acting piston and the slide-valve body are guided in a narrow sliding fit on the sleeve. The throttle passage runs through the slide-valve body and is flow-connected permanently to the control passage in the control body. The throttle inlet leads from the high-pressure space into the control passage. The latter, on the side facing away from the slide-valve body, can, via a pilot valve, be connected to a low-pressure space and be separated again from the latter. The connection of the control passage to the low-pressure space leads to a pressure drop in the control space, with the result being that the injection-valve member moves in the direction of the slide-valve body and releases the injection nozzles.

  • Publication number: 20040156733
Abstract: A high pressure feed pump which includes a cylinder 12 which has a central bore which mounts a delivery piston 14 for reciprocation. The delivery piston is reciprocated by a rotating drive shaft 28 which has an eccentric journal 36 formed thereon, and a rolling ring 40 is rotatably mounted on the eccentric journal. A plate-like spring element 62 is positioned between the front end of the delivery piston and the rolling ring. Also, either the front end of the delivery piston or the side of the spring element which faces the delivery piston, is a concave configuration, so that at maximum pressure loading, the spring element is deformed into the concave region.

  • Publication number: 20040136837
Abstract: A high-pressure pump having a plurality of individual feed pumps is described, the feed pumps being designed as modular pump units and being able to be lined up next to one another via their housings, which are provided with fluid-connecting channels. At least one line module being provided which can be coupled at least on one side to a housing of a modular pump unit and in which the fluid-connecting channels of the respectively adjacent housings form intake and discharge channels which, on the one hand, lead on further and/or, on the other hand, lead outward.

  • Patent number: 6579080
Abstract: A displacement machine for compressible media has two spiral feed chambers (11a, 11b) which are arranged opposite each other in a fixed housing (7a, 7b). Spiral displacement bodies (2-4) engage in these feed chambers. Said displacement bodies essentially consist of a disk (2) and spiral strips (3a, 3b) which are attached to each side of the disk. The strips are held in an eccentric manner in relation to the housing, so that during operation each point on the displacement body executes a circular or elliptical movement, depending on the configuration of the guiding device (49), said movement being limited by the cylinder walls of the feed chamber. One feed chamber (11a) is configured for compressing the working substance and the other feed chamber (11b) for expanding said working substance. The feed chambers and the strips (3a, 3b) which engage in said chambers consist of successive circular arc segments.

  • Patent number: 6499669
Abstract: An injection valve member for the closing and opening of injection orifices of a valve seat element is installed longitudinally adjustably in a central housing bore of a fuel injection valve. The opening and closing movement sequence of the injection valve member is controlled by a control device. A control piston operatively connected to the injection valve member is loaded, on the one hand, by the fuel system pressure prevailing in a high-pressure zone and, on the other hand, by the fuel control pressure in a control space. The high-pressure zone includes the central housing bore which is closed off sealingly by a control body fixed to the housing. The control space is arranged between the control body and a piston end face and is at least temporarily delimited radially by a control sleeve which is moveable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the housing.
