  • Patent number: 11279543
Abstract: A package includes a support and a closing film. The support has a supporting portion that receives a product, a perimetral edge surrounding the supporting portion, a gripping portion extending away from the opposite side of the supporting portion, a removable portion extending from the supporting portion. The closing film engages a portion of the perimetral edge and, with the support, defines a housing compartment for the product. The closing film comprises a first film portion engaged with the removable portion and a second film portion engaged with the gripping portion. When the package is opened, the removable portion at least partly separates from the support together with the first film portion and the second film portion remains engaged with the gripping portion of the support.

  • Patent number: 11279116
Abstract: A zeolite formulation has been identified that is to be included in an arrangement of barrier layers allowing for the entrapment of volatile organoleptic compound (VOCs), in particular, odor causing VOCs, between the barrier layers in order to contain the release of these compounds. The entrapment technique allows for extended time to adsorb, absorb or react such VOCs before they can be absorbed by the product surrounded by the packaging. A zeolite formulation of an odor scavenger layer not having any VOC barrier layers within the film is also disclosed having the capability to contain the release of hydrogen sulfide over a period of at least 20 days.

  • Patent number: 11240916
Abstract: An electronic device, a method and apparatus for producing an electronic device, and a composition therefor are disclosed. An adhesive material is applied in a first pattern on a surface of a receiver substrate. A carrier having a metal foil disposed thereon is brought into contact with the first substrate such that a portion of the metal foil contacts the adhesive material. The adhesive material includes a first polymer, a second polymer, and a conductive carbon black dispersion, and is activated using at least one of mechanical pressure and heat while the portion of the metal foil is in contact with the adhesive material. The first substrate and the second substrate are separated, whereby the portion of the metal foil is transferred to the first substrate. The adhesive is electrically conductive to maximize the possibility of maintaining electrical connectivity even when there is a break in the metal foil.

  • Patent number: 11230397
Abstract: An apparatus can be used for packaging a product. The apparatus includes a frame, a conveyor, and a packaging station. The packaging station receives a support at a respective positioning seat, receives a portion of a film above the support so that, between the support and the film portion, a reception volume is defined, and sealingly constrains the film portion to the support. The packaging station comprises a penetrating tool having a first through opening and a second through opening. The penetrating tool is arranged in an advanced position in which a part of the tool crosses the support arranged in the positioning seat, accessing the reception volume. At the advanced position, the first through opening is arranged at least partly in the reception volume, beyond the base wall or beyond the lateral wall and the second through opening is arranged astride the base wall or the lateral wall.

  • Patent number: 11168185
Abstract: Provided is a process for preparing a PVDC additive blend in which an additive is blended with PVDC under high shear blending to produce a highly uniform blend in which the additive is homogeneously distributed throughout the PVDC. It has been found that performing high shear blending in multiple successive stages in which the concentration of the additive in the blend is reduced in each successive stage helps in prove the uniformity of the PVDC additive blend. For example, the high shear blending may be carried out in 2 to 6 stages, and in particular, from 2 to 4 stages. Also provided is a PVDC additive blend having a uniform blend of PVDC and an additive, such as a blend of a PVDC copolymer of vinylidene chloride and methyl acrylate and a fluorescing agent, such as 2,2?(2,5-thiophenylendiyl)bis(5-tert-butylbenzoxazole).

  • Patent number: 11034506
Abstract: A dispenser (5) comprising a body (10) and a removable magazine (11) in which a product pouch (175) is held. The body (10) and magazine (11) form an asymmetric interior volume similar to the shape of the pouch (175). The dispenser (5) includes a grip (28) and actuator (30) at an actuator end and a ratcheting drive system disposed on opposite sides of the interior volume. The drive system applies a symmetric pushing force on a squeeze pusher (32) that is slidably disposed in the interior volume. The squeeze pusher (32) applies pressure to the pouch (175) to dispense the product. The magazine (11) and pouch (175) may be ejected once the squeeze pusher (32) is ratcheted to the dispensing end. Once ejected, the squeeze pusher (32) is disengaged from the drive system. A magazine (11) with a new pouch (175) may be inserted into the body (10), which automatically positions the squeeze pusher (32) at the actuating end and reengages the drive system for further dispensing.
