Patents Assigned to CSI Wireless LLC
  • Patent number: 7020442
Abstract: A method for WLAN signal strength determination comprises receiving a WLAN RF signal; converting the WLAN RF signal to a voltage proportional to the signal; comparing the voltage to a first reference voltage; and outputting data corresponding to WLAN RF signal strength if the voltage is greater than the first reference voltage.

  • Patent number: 6853840
Abstract: The system comprises a wireless transceiver with a processor for measuring RSSI in received signals. The processor analyzes fade duration or fade frequency in the received signals to determine if the transceiver is moving. If the transceiver is moving, then the processor can send a command to disable a fixed wireless terminal in one embodiment. In another embodiment, if the transceiver is not moving, then the processor can send a command to place a GPS receiver into a power conservation mode.
