Patent number: 11891805Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for mounting a panel (40) such as an acoustic panel, baffle or fin. The system for mounting the panel (40) can comprise an elongate member (12). A base (14) of the member (12) can be configured to enable it to be mounted with respect to a structure. Opposing sidewalls (13) of the member (12) can extend from the base (14) such that, in profile, the sidewalls define a neck portion (N) that extends to an enlarged head portion (H) of the member (12). The panel (40) can have a recess (42) formed in an edge thereof. The recess (42) can be configured to generally correspond to an external profile of the member (12). An inner recess portion (43) of the panel (40) can be enlarged to receive the member head portion (H), with an outer recess portion (45) being configured to receive the member neck portion (N). The outer recess portion (45) can open out of the panel edge such that, when the member (12) is located in the panel recess (42) it retains the panel (40) to the member (12).Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2019Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: CSR Building Products LimitedInventor: Daniel Cavasinni

Patent number: 10113761Abstract: A ventilator (10) comprises a ventilator stator (12) for mounting to a structure and a ventilator rotor (14) for mounting and rotation with respect to the stator. One or more wind-drivable elements (44) are mounted to the ventilator rotor. A motor (20) is provided for operation between the ventilator rotor and ventilator stator for selective motor-driven rotation of the ventilator rotor.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2017Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Assignee: CSR Building Products LimitedInventors: Derek Lawrence Alan Munn, Tarek Alfakhrany

Patent number: 9933182Abstract: A system for optimizing one or more environmental parameters of an enclosed space comprising first and second relatively enclosed regions, such as a living space and a roof space within a building, is disclosed. The system comprises an internal sensor, in the first region, and an external sensor, external to the enclosed space, for measuring respective environmental parameters. The system also comprises a controller and a diverter valve. The controller is configured to specify the first region's ideal internal environmental parameter, and compare this specified parameter with the measured first region's internal parameter and the measured external parameter to determine whether the diverter valve directs air from the first or second enclosed region to exhaust through the ventilator.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2013Date of Patent: April 3, 2018Assignee: CSR Building Products LimitedInventors: Tarek Alfakhrany, Colin Schwecke, Derek Munn

Patent number: 9644854Abstract: A rotor ventilator comprising a ventilator stator for mounting to a structure and a ventilator rotor for mounting and rotation with respect to the ventilator stator is disclosed. The ventilator further comprises a cover for positioning over the ventilator rotor and mounting to the ventilator stator. The cover comprises a central portion surrounded by an outer substantially concave portion. The outer concave portion of the cover may protect the ventilator from environmental conditions/elements, such as by redirecting particles, water droplets, debris and dust, etc away from the interior of the ventilator. The outer concave portion may act as a trough, from which the particles can then be directed off the cover. The trough may also act to prevent the particles from escaping over the sides of the cover, and into the ventilator.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2013Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignee: CSR Building Products LimitedInventors: Tarek Alfakhrany, Colin Schwecke, Derek Munn

Patent number: 8257526Abstract: The present invention provides a system of jointing and finishing plasterboard sheets. The system comprises adjacently abutted first and second plasterboard sheets and a connective material. The connective material is applied to a region at or near the side edge portions of the first and second plasterboard sheets and which securely joins the side edge portion of the first plasterboard sheet to the side edge portion of the second plasterboard sheet. There is also provided a joint filling compound and a finishing compound, which are optionally also applied to the region of the first and second plasterboard sheets.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2011Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: CSR Building Products LimitedInventors: Bill Thompson, Doug Lavender, Edward Gale
