    Abstract: An apparatus for the installation of cable into a reel of coiled tubing includes a cable injector. The cable injector comprises a capstan drive within a pressure housing. In a preferred embodiment, the capstan drive forms a portion of the pressure housing and is retractable for easy placement of the cable onto the capstan.
