The resulting tube fulfills diverse requirements for flexibility, permeability, welding capacity, mechanical resistance to low temperatures, etc.

The appendage offers several advantages, such as improving the finish of the over-molded head or, in the event of the unit being manufactured, easing the removal of the unit from the mound.
