Abstract: A media transmission method and a related media provider are provided for transmitting media to an electronic device including a multimedia chip and a terminal database via a network system.

Abstract: An input unit having three-dimensionally arranged keys for an electronic device is proposed. The input unit has at least a plurality of keys, the keys are classified into a plurality of groups and respectively arranged on different planes of the input unit according to the operating functions and properties, so as to extensively arrange the keys on different planes of the input unit, which increases the available area on which the keys can be arranged. The functions of the keys can be identified by users touching on them and locating their relative orientations on the input unit, facilitating the input operations and reducing the probability of mistakenly pressing the wrong keys.

Abstract: A micro bar code and a recognition system and method thereof are provided. The micro bar code has a plurality of nanomolecules disposed thereon in a predetermined arrangement. In the recognition system and method, a sensing module senses the arrangement of the nanomolecules on the micro bar code. The sensing result from the sensing module is transmitted to an operating module and then inputted to a bar code database that stores information corresponding to arrangement of each set of nanomolecules, so as to recognize information on the micro bar code to be recognized. Finally, the recognition result is transmitted back to the operating module for recording. The micro bar code has advantages of small size and large data storage capacity.

Abstract: An image display system and a method thereof are provided. A focal point of a user's eyes is measured by a focus measuring module. A distance between the user's eyes and a display unit is measured by a distance measuring module. At least two parallax image data are retrieved from a storage medium by an image forming module, and a distance between the at least two parallax image data is adjusted by the image forming module based on the focal point of the user's eyes and the distance between the eyes and the display unit, so as to display the adjusted parallax image data on an imaging point of the display unit. By the above system and method, a stereo image can be provided on the display unit without adjusting the focal point of the user.

Abstract: An operating system and method applicable to a computer environment are provided for a user to input a speech message via a user-friendly operating interface that transforms the speech message into an input signal and transmits the input signal to a speech recognition module of an operating system. The speech recognition module processes the input signal and displays the processing result on the user-friendly operating interface through the use of a speech database and an interface processing module of the operating system for the user to understand the operating procedure and result. By this operating method, the operating system can provide service for the user in an easy and quick way even if the user is not familiar with the operating interface of an operating system. And the user can perform data search, data input and activation of required programs by inputting speech messages.

Abstract: A bus architecture and a data transmission method thereof are applicable to a signal transmission environment between functioning components of an information system, so as to transmit data, addresses and/or control signals between any two of the functioning components of the information system in a serial transmission manner via at least one wire. During the data transmission method, the bus architecture can convert a parallel signal to a serial signal and/or convert a serial signal to a parallel signal, and the sequence of the two conversions being performed or the proceeding of only one or both of the conversions depends on practical requirements.

Abstract: A graphics rendering system and a graphics rendering method are applied in an environment for graph production and image processing. After a graph code is entered into the graphics rendering system, it is analyzed by a graph code processing module in the graphics rendering system to find one or more records of data corresponding to the graph code and transfer the one or more records of data to an image producing module, wherein the data are in the command form and required for outputting complete graphs/images. The image producing module includes an image producing program for interpreting and executing the commands. The image producing program decodes composition, structure and ratio of graphs/images from the graph code and produces the required graphs/images according to graph/image producing parameters obtained from information provided by the data corresponding to the graph code, without having to use lookup table mapping in the prior art.

Abstract: A data input system and a data input method are provided and applied to an electronic product. The data input system serves as an input device for an electronic product, whereby a user can use a plurality of keys to input data or commands including numerals, symbols, English letters and/or Chinese characters to the electronic product, so as to properly operate the electronic product and to execute desirable functions. With different parts of each key being designated with different functions in a manner as to achieve satisfactory performance and functionality through the use of a small number of keys, the electronic product with the data input system can thereby be desirably fabricated with reduced size and costs.

Abstract: An energy-saving electronic device and an energy-saving method for use with the same are provided. Under a triggering condition by an input signal, a trigger module produces a control pulse that urges a system-board module switch to be switched on, such that a microprocessor or central processing unit (CPU) operates with power supplied from a power module through the system-board module switch, and forwards a control signal to the trigger module for allowing the system-board module switch to be in a stable switching-on condition. When the input signal ends and thus the control pulse terminates, the microprocessor or CPU stops sending the control signal to the trigger module, and the system-board module switch is adapted to be switched off with no power being provided from the power module to the microprocessor or CPU, thus making the microprocessor or CPU in a complete power cut-off mode instead of a sleep mode in favor of power saving.

Abstract: A method is proposed for use by an electronic-book (e-book) supplier to verify whether an information platform is authorized to open an electronic-book (e-book) file, where the electronic-book file can be either downloaded via network or directly fetched from a permanent storage medium such as a memory card or an optical disc. The proposed method is characterized by the use of the unique product identification number of a specific hardware component in the information platform, such as the information platform's CPU serial number, as an embedded authorization identification code in each restrictively-authorized electronic-book file, so that an information platform can open a restrictively-authorized electronic-book file if and only if that information platform's CPU serial number is matched to the embedded authorization identification code in the electronic-book file.

Abstract: A file downloading system and a file downloading method are provided, whereby a user of a terminal device is linked to a website server through a communication network, so as to allow the user to download files provided from the website server. Upon receiving a file downloading request from the user, the website server searches in a member database for a membership number designated to the user, and retrieves a corresponding file identification number from a file resource database for obtaining the requested file, whereby the membership number and file identification number are used to establish a file downloading record stored in a file downloading database. The website server divides the requested file into a plurality of packets to be transmitted to the user's terminal device. If network linkage is accidentally interrupted during packet transmission, the website server can later transmit untransmitted packets to the user without having to re-download the previously downloaded packets.

Abstract: A method of single frequency channel communication is proposed, for use with a communication system having different communication areas of different area codes, allowing messages or signals to be transmitted between two mobile phones located in the same or different communication areas through transmitting stations without the use of electronic switching systems. A message inputted from a sender mobile phone is denoted with area codes of the sender and receiver, and converted to a signal for being transmitted to a transmitting station where the signal is processed and amplified. For message/signal transmission within a single communication area, such that the sender's and receiver's area codes are identical, the signal received by the transmitting station is directly forwarded to the receiver mobile phone. For message/signal transmission between different communication areas, the received signal is forwarded to another transmitting station in the receiver's area code, and then to the receiver mobile phone.
