Abstract: A method for selectively producing cold, warm or hot milk foam and/or milk includes providing at least one container for storing milk to be foamed, providing a fluid and a fluid line, conveying, by a pump, a predefinable amount of the milk to be foamed through a line system, which includes a milk intake line, between the at least one container and the pump, and an outlet line, between the pump and at least one outlet, potentially supplying air into the milk intake line via an air-flow regulator, which can be arranged in an air-supply line, in order to produce a milk/air mixture upstream of the pump, conveying the milk/air mixture or the milk through a heating element, producing a milk foam from the milk/air mixture by a throttle device; and dispensing the milk foam or milk at the at least one outlet. An apparatus is also provided.

Abstract: A brewing unit for an espresso and coffee machine includes a frame structure, a hand lever which is mounted on the frame structure so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, and a brewing piston element which is operatively connected to the hand lever by means of a lever mechanism, whereby the brewing piston element, coupled to the movement of the hand lever, is movable between a first position and at least one second position along a vertical axis. The brewing piston element includes a distributor sieve which, in the second position of the brewing piston element, and together with a filter support which can be inserted into a holding device, delimits a brewing chamber, and hot pressurized brewing water is able to be introduced into the brewing chamber through the distributor sieve; the brewing piston element also includes a piston rod to which the distributor sieve is connectible.

Abstract: A device for foaming liquid includes a line system and a pump, via which at least one first line of the line system is connectible to at least one storage container in which the liquid to be foamed is stored, and via a second line of the line system is connectible to at least one outlet nozzle, an air-enrichment element by means of which air can pass through the liquid, and a heating element designed as a continuous flow heater. Furthermore, the heating element is arranged in the second line of the line system of the device and is designed as a thick-film heater in which an electric heating resistor is attached to a carrier using thick-film technology, on which carrier a flow path is provided for the liquid.

The coffee machine provides for the second heating device (250) accommodated in the brewing module (200) being a thick film heater (252) designed as continuous flow heater.
