Patent number: 9034350Abstract: A post-foaming cleansing composition comprises at least one anionic surfactant, at least one non-ionic gelling agent and at least one post-foaming agent. The ratio of anionic surfactant:non-ionic gelling agent is 4:1 or greater such that during manufacture a gel structure is formed. The gel structure remains substantially unchanged for at least 4 minutes after the addition of the said post-foaming agent to the remainder of the composition.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2004Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: PZ Cussons (International) LimitedInventors: Najem Yaqub, Roxanne Bullen, Helen Patricia Atkinson

Patent number: 7939480Abstract: A post-foaming personal cleaning composition in the form of a gel for use in an aerosol container. This composition includes a base material of a surfactant in an amount not less than 7 % by weight and a thickener that is a blend of at least one of glyceryl ester, and a glyceryl ester derivative with at least one of a betaine and a gum. The base material preferably has a viscosity greater than 9,500 cps. The composition also includes a foam forming material, above 9 % by weight of the composition with at least a part of the foam forming material being maintained in suspension in the composition until after the composition is dispensed from the aerosol container. The foam forming material is preferably a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon having from 4 to 5 carbons and the composition is in the form of a gel prior to inclusion of the foam forming material.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2007Date of Patent: May 10, 2011Assignee: PZ Cussons (International) LimitedInventors: Christopher John Hall, Najem Yaqub

Publication number: 20040016773Abstract: A fluid dispenser (11) for delivering fluids from at least two separate reservoirs has a dispensing arrangement comprising a reservoir outlet (17, 18) from each of the reservoirs. Each reservoir outlet (17, 18) directs the flow of fluid from their respective reservoir towards a baffle (22) located between the outlets (17, 18). The fluid is dispensed in a single stream from a discharge aperture (19).Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2003Publication date: January 29, 2004Applicant: PZ Cussons (International) LimitedInventor: John Wagner

Publication number: 20040009885Abstract: A packaged cleaning composition comprising a surfactant, an aqueous acid component and an aqueous alkaline component, the acid and alkali components being provided in separate compartments within the package. On dispensing from the package the acid and alkali react together creating carbon dioxide gas which acts upon the surfactant to create a lather. The acid component is buffered to a pH ranging from 2 to 6.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2003Publication date: January 15, 2004Applicant: PZ Cussons (International) LimitedInventors: Craig Joseph Davies, Jason Ronald Fullman, Helen Patricia Atkinson, Emma Pawson

Patent number: 5804546Abstract: A cleaning composition consists of a surfactant and two components for example an acid and a carbonate or bicarbonate. When the two components are mixed together a gas is generated which acts on the surfactant to create a lather. The composition may be disposed in a package having two containers one for each component.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1996Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Assignee: Cussons (International) LimitedInventor: Christopher John Hall

Patent number: 5186346Abstract: A container (10) particularly for shampoo or shower gel having a cap (22) which removably covers a dispensing outlet (20) at one end (12) of the container. The cap is provided with a hook (34) which is movable from a first position in which it lies along or below the surface of the cap and a second position in which it projects from the cap surface. In use the cap is fitted to the bottom (24) of the container and with the hook in the second position the container can be suspended upside down.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1992Date of Patent: February 16, 1993Assignee: Cussons (International) LimitedInventor: John H.
