    Abstract: An adjustable automotive clothes rod assembly having multiple telescoping clothes rod segments that may be securely attached to one another through a T-shaped male member having a pair of wings and a keyhole-shaped female member having a pair of channels for accepting the wings of the male member. Each of the clothing rod segments comprises an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve that is sized to permit it to move in telescopic relation to the outer sleeve. The end of the inner sleeve includes a retaining end member for attaching the clothes rod assembly to the inside of a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the retaining end member includes both a loop and a hook for attaching to a hook or a handle of a vehicle, respectively. The inner sleeve also preferably may be selectively secured within the outer sleeve to maintain the clothes rod assembly in either extended or retracted position.

    Abstract: A splash guard or mud flap comprising a flexible, splash-intercepting body portion which may be fabricated of a material such as rubber or plastic or metal, and which is supported on and maintained in a preselected position on the fender of a vehicle by means of anchoring members adapted to be engaged along the fender of the vehicle. The anchoring members have a projection or pin-like member thereon for engaging and retaining the flexible, splash-intercepting body portion on the anchoring members. In a preferred embodiment of the splash guard, the body portion is fabricated of a material such as rubber or plastic which can be fully penetrated by the pin-like member utilizing only finger pressure. Locking means in the form of a push-on type nut advantageously is provided for the members. The splash guard, in its preferred form, can quickly and properly be positioned on the fender of a vehicle without the need for any tool.

    Abstract: A splash guard comprising a corrosion resistant metal body portion having a permanent, continuous, protective border formed of a plastic material intimately bonded to the body portion on both sides thereof along its entire periphery whereby the normally thin, sharp edges of the body portion are completely covered. The protective border is formed on the body portion of the splash guard by means of a mold wherein a plastic material in liquid form is injected. After the plastic material is cured, a splash guard, in finished, ready-to-package and sell form, is obtained.
